We spent the entire spring, summer, fall camp, and first 3 games of the year with a QB competition.

I am not saying that it was not warranted but it is what happened.

With that said we literally developed, designed and implemented an offense on the fly throughout the final 9 games.

We now have an entire off season, that includes the spring, summer, and fall practice to tweak, and rep thousands of times each play over and over. Getting it to where we can execute our offense in our sleep.

While I would welcome a new O-Line coach, I truly hope that our OC and QB are set.

Anyone who thought we were anything but an overarching young team this year is not being realistic IMHO.

Just my 2 cents.

The folks who actually get to watch practice said our OL and the rushing attack should be a strength this year in August, from the get-go. The coaches were telling them that. What happened?

Reality happened.

When your in an actual game the defense is not running a play, they are trying to destroy you. They are nit practicing on how to react to certain formations, how to fill gaps, cover WRs etc etc.

Or perhaps the people who said they were there really weren't.

The truth of the matter is we had at best a 1st time starting sophomore at QB. shite doesn't get more raw than that.

The coaches fed info in August, just like they always do. Regardless of the Saban aura, every practice and scrimmage isn’t closed.

Lesson learned. Never believe what you hear from fall camp. It never works out.

It looked like it was against Michigan and for whatever reason, Reese decided not to do it. Our RBs averaged 6.2, 7.8, and 11 yards per carry. Roydell had 1 for minus a yard

We ran for 172 total rushing yards and that’s including 6 sacks that takes away from rushing total.

Definitely should have gone more up tempo and ran it more with Milroe and co. with misdirection designed runs and read option.

Passing game was not there. Couldn’t get the ball out accurately and couldn’t protect.
