Again, tell me where Liberty Media fricked up. They put up the cash to lock up Acuna long term, sign Donaldson and Keuchel, and make the moves at the deadline to shore up the bullpen.

I'd say Liberty Media did a helluva job.

I'm not sure what you guys think Arthur or Ted would do differently.

As noted - we paid players this year. We gave extensions to young players, we spent a ton of money on 2 huge free agents - something we haven't done in years, we allowed AA to vastly overpay financially for Melancon because we needed it. I love Uncle Arthur, but his teams don't win shite either outside of the soccer team where he can vastly outspend everyone in organizational stuff.

The players have to not play like bitches. It's pretty damn simple. That's the bottom line. It's nobody elses fault but theirs. The fans showed up all season, the front office gave AA money to do what he needed, AA made moves that any team would be happy with, etc. I've bagged on Liberty Media for years, but they put their money where their mouth was this year. I've got no qualms with their contributions this year.

At some point the players just have to fvckin make plays.

And the manager has to manage his pitching staff competently.

Liberty Media is never gonna go out there and give AA the OK to sign the BIG time FA like a Gerrit Cole or Anthony Rendon. Instead we will resign Donaldson(which I’m ok with) and sign a Zack Wheeler type(which i would also be OK with).
