It’s never as good or bad as most fan bases think.

This loss is big, I don’t mean to minimize it, but this team could still go either way.

We can win with this offense.

This defense is unbelievably bad on 3rd and 4th down. I thought it was an anomaly in the UGA game. It’s not. There are major issues. I don’t know if it’s scheme, young guys in the secondary or what. But the last 6 quarters were effing pitiful.
They were completely unprepared yesterday and that is the most concerning part.
Can the defense be “fixed”? I doubt it, but it better improve or we lose 2 more games easily.

I think we can still win with this offense but some philosophical things have to change in other areas. With the way DeBoer is gonna play offense this bend but don’t break (ha right) defense isn’t gonna be conducive to winning games.

Offense is good enough to win any game. Defense is bad to lose any game.

Will be an up and down season, fans should prepare themselves.

The warning signs have been there, but they finally materialized.

Obviously unlike the fans the school is fully committed to DeBoer and I wouldn't expect much different until end of year. I mean they could get better

Many of our fans are complete idiots. DeBoer will get it together, but the defense man… I don’t know really what to think.

That sums up the season so far. Great explanation of what to probably expect.

We were around #2 in the nation in third down % until yesterday. 4th down is where we sucked up until then.

This is oddly true. Only because the loss, and the way we lost was so incredibly bizarre, that it makes me wonder what's more bizarre? Straight up getting your arse beat by Vanderbilt, in the most non-fluky way imaginable or making the playoff after it happens?

This loss is just so frickin' strange, and so far beyond the imaginable, I'm hesitant to assign any meaning to it right now.

I agree with him^^ this shite was so Twilight Zone to me that I’ll need a loss to Tennessee for me to fully appreciate this loss beyond a really shitty one off day.

I'm fully committed to him. The guy's in the big water now. In fact, the biggest of the big water. Last week, he swam the Engish Channel. This week, he cramped up in the kiddie pool.

Sit with this for a moment. In back to back games, he showed the best he can be and the worst he can be. We'll see what the rest of the season holds.

You can’t with any accuracy, it would just be a complete overreaction.

No way that Vandy should beat us with our players, but this is a much better Vandy team (relative to Vandy teams) than people will admit. We still shouldn’t lose to them. The perception is what is so bad, but perception is almost never reality.

I haven’t looked at Vandys schedule but is the perception as bad if they win 7 games and go to a bowl? Probably because of the name of the team.

I am a fan of college football because I enjoy it, I was raised on it, it’s cultural, but at the end of the day as a fan, it’s just entertainment

Football is a game of matchups, just look at the NFL.

We have struggled all year defending a mobile QB running the read option. That's a fact. Vanderbilt ran this over and over, and even basically ran the triple option. Our guys were confused by what they saw and couldn't get off the field. Vanderbilt had two weeks to prepare, but this is their offense. We obviously did not prepare our guys to stop it.

Some it lays on the secondary where we couldn't get tackles out in space when we had them in third and long.

Do I think other teams can replicate what Vanderbilt did yesterday? Somewhat, but probably couldn't execute as well as they did to be honest.

South Carolina is an intriguing game because Sellers seems to be a good read option QB, and they have very good edge rushers that give our o line problem.

Either our guys learn from their mistakes, or we lose. That probably falls on the defensive coaching staff

I read your post.

This game wasn't lost because of match ups or scheme. This loss was too profound to reduce it to that. Something's wrong. What? I don’t know.
