The more I think about it, people are naming everything under the sun as the cause for this decline, and I think it's all true.

Saban has made a series of poor decisions which have led to this point.

He hired and kept a hold of these coordinators when the prestige of this program would allow him to hire damn near anyone he wanted.

He was the one who fired Cochran and moved onto these science geeks who haven't helped us one bit.

He's the one responsible for evaluating recruits, and putting them on the board.

He's the one responsible for setting the tone every single day.

He's the one responsible for the depth chart.

He's the one who botched the end of the TN game and decided to go for 2 twice vs LSU.

Ultimately, Saban has a HUGE mess to clean up, and it just doesn't seem like he has the energy to do it.

I think our best hope at this point is to just hope that a title falls into our lap. Maybe BoB will leave of his own accord. Maybe we'll have the right players next year with the right attitudes to get it done. Regardless, if we do win anything else of significance, it won't be because of any changes made by Saban. It will be by luck and talent.

I can't believe a person who has repeatedly defender Bill O'Brien and Golding has the audacity to bring up Cochran as if he was anybody but a hype man.

I'm glad he is gone and the many knee injuries, etc have slowed down.

Our problem is our leader empowers idiots as his lieutenants and they keep leading us to losses. Our leader refuses to change them even though he indirectly admits at times they are failing his troops (and him).

Ive never defended Golding. Ive hated his defenses since day 1. Ive also never particularly liked BoB, but ive questioned if maybe its a lack of talent on offense.

At this point it's obvious that both coordinators need to go.
This program is headed in a really bad direction unless some major changes are made at the end of this season.

I'm not going to sit here and pretend I know S&C, but whatever Cochran did as a hype man it worked. We used to hit the field with an edge. Now we are just "anxious."

This program needs a hype man. Our sidelines are completely dead. Everyone looks like they're at a funeral

Yeah? Tell that to our WR and RB group from last year.
