We're spoiled no doubt but it was a really good year. I had us at 10-2 in the regular season (FSU loss and one other). JMO...Nick will coach 3 more after this season and I see a couple of 10-2 and a 9-3 for his last. People will use his age against him and it will work. Lets just hope when the time comes the BOT doesn't shet the bed like that have time and time again.

Your post will be disregarded by the same contingent which now stomps their feet with eyes closed and ears covered regarding the glaring deficiciencies at the quarterback position. But, your post doesn't miss the mark. People refuse to allocate proper credit where it's due and acknowledge the sheer level of talent - both player and coaching-wise - the program had from 2008-2015. What Alabama accomplished during that time is special because it is rare to see top level recruiting of top talent, to be coached by top flight coaches, simulatenously occuring over an extended period. But, everything is cyclical, and now Alabama will face a tougher road. Will Alabama lose 3 games in a season before Saban retires? Hopefully not. But, there's no shame in losing one or two games a year after all that has been accomplished.

Alabama has some structural issues at the moment. To say Alabama's replacements of departed coaches are of the same caliber is to not give credit to the former coaches. It simply is not the same, not even close. Some will continue to not believe it, but give it another season or two.

Absolutely. Our fans here are mostly sunshine pumpers that refuse to see things without their crimson shades. Yet they tell the rational fans that we aren't real fans or that we are stupid. Anybody that knows football saw Hurts for what he was last year. We knew just from the shitastic performance against a bad FSU team that it didn't get any better. We were run out of the recruiting thread for telling the truth that we are getting out recruited by every team on the national stage and by a lot of the programs beneath us. It is frustrating watching it come crashing down and last year not winning it all with that defense was heart breaking.
