Yep, Saban always uses any loss or mistake as a learning opportunity.

He certainly preaches that to the players, but what I would really like to know, on a professional level as a coach, what was the learning opportunity Saban took away from 9-6. Because we lost yesterday largely for the exact same damn reason, because the exact same player couldn't execute. And don't think that for one second I'm blaming Foster for that, because I'm not.

You do realize Coach Saban has no control over how well Cade Foster kicks in a given game, don't you? All he can teach him is the proper technique. The rest of it is mental.

For the life of me it really pisses me off how people can be so freaking spoiled after three straight 11-1 seasons. It wasn't long ago when we were happy with just making a bowl game. As much as it sucks to admit it, we can't go to the national championship every year.

This is a program defining loss for the short term. Other people have said CNS will use this as a learning opportunity and I agree. It is incredibly hard for a team to play at such a high level of intensity for a sustained period of time.

Yesterday I saw an Auburn team on both sides of the ball that wanted this win more. Bama made so many mental errors (players and coaches). Maybe it was a Thanksgivng hang over who knows?

This one game will define the level of intensity our players will have next year. Next year will be the first year of the playoff so even if we have one loss we could still be in the hunt.

Spoiled? Are you really this stupid. No, Saban has no control over how well Foster kicks in a given game. What Saban absolutely has control over is making the decision to keep sending him out there. What Saban has absolute control is the entire boneheaded set of decisions that he made to (a) keep sending Foster out there, (b) refusing to send Griffith out for basically an extra point, if he had the confidence to send him out to kick form 57, and (c) attempt a FG at the end where the chances of success were far outweighed by the chances of catastrophic failure.

Newsflash, moron. No one here would be complaining if our coaching staff had put our kids in the best possible position to win but we just got beat. Nick Saban getting outcoached by Gus Malzahn is absolutely unfricking acceptable.

Shouldn't be the judge of that? But no, I don't think it is. We've lost heartbreakers before and bounced back. We'll still be competitive.

^ This.

We will have a 2008 postseason, a 2010 next season (rebuilding), and we'll be in it hard in 2015. Saban will address his teams problem with the "hurry up" and we'll be skull-fricking again in no time.

Roll Tide Anyway!
