IMO, how fast the secondary can gell will tell the tale how far Bama goes this year. I think the front 7 will be good to really good. Of course, if there are a bunch of injuries, all bets are off.

My thoughts..

Domani Jackson - ultra talented but I think he lacked physicality in the run game and he wasn't physical enough with his press coverage. (He got picked on at times last season)

Zabien Brown - is he a (DeMarcus Milliner/Pat Surtain/Marlon Humphrey) type freshmen? Will he be physical at the line of scrimmage?

DaShawn Jones - can he be a DeQuan Menzie type corner for us.

Jaylen Mbakwe - I think he will be a faster Cyrus Jones. He hasn't played corner much as of late so he had to kind a re-learn techniques but hopefully he caught back on quick. Ultra talented and has packed on muscle to his frame. Can he be one of the top corners?

Jahlil Hurley - He's been under Saban so he should have great technique so now it's all about applying it in this new system. Hopefully, it'll all click and he can make an impact.

Red Morgan - I think he will steal the show just like Branch/Moore did when they were freshmen. He has a lot of Tyrann Mathieu in him! Day 1 starter?

Zay Mincey - a long corner who could end up being the best. Reminds me of Dre Kirkpatrick at times. Hopefully he can continue developing and improving his technique. Can he sneak into the rotation with his frame?

Bond and Burton

Burton was and is.

Bond is TBD, but I think he is in great shape to develop in Sarks system.

Hard to call QB an upgrade with the same QB. But, like Bond at UTx under Sark, Milroe under DeBoer and with more experience is likely to see big gains. So, I don't necessarily disagree. I think Milroe being cemented and backed as the day 1 starter, team captain and leader of the offense only boosts his confidence. Hope for a big year from him if only because he seems like a genuinely good person who is all Crimson.

Alabama has a better overall group of quarterbacks this year in my opinion. Not only is Milroe back but Simpson has also had a really good fall camp. Mack and Lonergan are talented players in their own right. They can spin it.

Deboer isn’t Saban but everywhere else is better than last year.

I don’t know man. Steele had some elite defenses throughout history.

Good news is we still have Malichi who should be a great leader back there.
