Then the car washer runs to the media and yells that you’re a brute and the secretary runs to the media and tells them you’re a misogynist. It ain’t the 1950s anymore.

Look there is no one more pissed off than me at the way things are going right now and DeBoer has got to get a handle on things.

But Vince Lombardi or Bobby Knight walking through the door and taking over ain’t an automatic fix.

This is the problem and people can flame me to cinders, I don’t care. Too many people in our fan base see football as a metaphor for life and a means of preserving their ideal culture and tradition and in particular the culture and tradition of this region, and see the role of coaches as “molding kids into men.”

The reality in 2024 is that this is a form of entertainment and the primary “actors” are all millionaires who have the freedom to pretty much take their talents elsewhere if they don’t like how a coach, who’s pretty much now been reduced to the role of a ringmaster, treats them.

Is what it is.

He's responsible for allowing the culture.

Not dragging Moore off the field was telling. He's a bro coach. Doesn't work in the current era of millionaire players. The transfer portal is the bigger issue. Coaches can't let the inmates run the asylum. Can't fear the transfer threats.

Better to have discipline than chaos. But, it's a hard problem. Exactly the reason Saban tapped out.

We don't have to agree... I am perfectly fine with that. You see it one way, I see it another. No biggie

Works for me. One can disagree without being disagreeable. Hopefully we can agree on RTR.
