To me, he's CLEARLY the most deserving. Penix is really good and as much as I hate to admit it, Bo Nix is good but Daniels is simply better in a better conference.

Disagree. SEC is very down this year. LSU has one quality win, against Missouri. They were a trendy national championship pick before the season and might wind up in whatever they now call the old Outback Bowl. To me, the best player in the country would have done more.
Also, if you watch LSU play, they have a bunch of tall, talented receivers. Half of Daniels' completions are jump balls, much like Manziel to Mike Evans ten years ago.

That’s not his fault. His defense is ranked 104th nationally while their offense is no. 1 by quite a bit. In the FSU game for sure he could’ve played better but he had almost 400 yards against us and over 400 against OM. Their defense shite in the bed in both. He would need to have like 500-600 yards to make up for them.
Penix could’ve won it but he’s struggled in a bunch of games this year. Nix has a short depth of passing with a significant portion of his yards behind the LoS. When you factor in rushing Daniels blows the rest of them out the water
