coach and they fired most of the offensive staff calling plays. There’s no way he had a chance to put as much prep time in for that game, and the Vandy offense is tricky even when you have plenty of prep time (and technically they didn’t have 40 in regulation, but not worth arguing over 2 points). He’s had 3 weeks to prepare for Bama’s offense with little additional distractions (and possibly huge incentives if he can pull out the win and they make him head coach).

Alabama has feasted on mediocre to bad offenses over the last three weeks.
Auburn has been preparing for this game, all season under Hugh. the last 3 weeks with the new QB.
They will move the ball and score. Just watch and see. Bama will need to score at least 28 to win.
Don’t be dumb and compare scores. I don’t care what they did/didn’t do against other opponents.

Alabama better come to play. Even winning doubtful we win the SEC game. If not we are out of play offs. Two years in a row an average Oklahoma team has knocked us out of the play offs. That used to be Auburn's role. Auburn is not a good team and neither is Oklahoma. The SEC had digressed. Maybe last year's performance by SEC teams in the play offs was an anomaly. Let's hope so.

Y'all need to understand there are options between elite and not good. Is Oklahoma elite? No. Are they not a good team? Also no. They're going to dominate LSU and be 10-2 and have a good shot at making the playoff. In what universe is that not a good team? We unquestionably should have beat them. We beat them 9/10 times but unfortunately caught them on that day when everything that can go wrong does.

It took a comedy of errors to lose to OU. The funny thing is that the conversation would be 100% different if nothing else had changed about the game other than Talty making a chip shot field goal. Is Bama really that much worse because one player f'ed up a gimme?
