Obviously upsets have always happened in college football history but I think in this NIL era you're going to see them explode.

Elite teams are becoming nothing more than a temporary squad of talented mercenaries.

The buy in to do the little things to prepare and be disciplined, they stem from a commitment to the coach and the program. All vestiges of that are basically gone.

Yep. Our players were more concerned with podcasts, chains that are iced up and NIL deals. Not focusing on beating Vanderbilt. The sport is dying right in front of us. Heartbreaking.

Well, the sport itself will continue but it definitely is morphing into something very different than it once was.

The romantic era of sports is basically over. College athletics was the last sort of small holdout but that ship has sailed.
