If we're being honest, what is the likelihood that teams like Michigan, ND, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Michigan State will ever be strong enough at QB, DB, and WR to legitimately compete for championships? I'd say it's close to zero. And that's kind of the issue with all Northern teams not named Ohio State, who has the ability to go into Florida, Texas, Georgia, California, etc. and sign elite skill guys.

I think Michigan and Penn State have the possibility to (in theory). Penn State has had a ton of elite skill guys and DBs the last 5-7 years. They've been the only other B1G team that has skill athletes outside of Ohio State. They heavily recruit the DMV and Philly and there are skill kids there, plus picking up a few here and there from the South/California.
If Michigan had a great recruiter they could recruit Florida/Texas/California in a somewhat similar way as Ohio State (not quite as well, but better than current).
The others have no shot.

Should have signed up Tosh while he was available. Their OC even worked with him at Bama.
