and your point is...if you are comparing AJ to sims because of the INt's in the spring game then you really don't need to add to this conversation. So you really think Sims is the answer for next year? It is a simple or no observation

I mean we won a championship with a QB that had a terrible arm. I don't recall McElroy hitting too many deep balls in his career.

You used INT's in a spring game as a knock on him all I did was point out that it is dumb to use as an example, which you apparently agree with.

I think we use whoever will win games next season then the real showdown begins. Redshirt freshman David Cornwell vs. true freshman Ricky Town

corn is not a RS..and he just got hurt in HS and may not be healthy .. You have not addressed the issue about next year's best chance to win. and comparing a QB who has won't two natties to Sims in a spring game performance is juvenile at best. Most of Sims throws in the spring game were horrible.

He will most likely redshirt next season right? Seems even more likely with the injury, so I don't see the point you are trying to make.

Coach's seem to have faith in Sims at the moment and I have faith in the coach's.

When did I compare him to AJ? You said he can't throw a deep ball and I pointed out we went undefeated with a QB who couldn't throw a deep ball.

You want to ignore that AJ was bad in the spring game, but Blake Sims playing poorly in it means he is terrible. Am I understanding you correctly?

lets revisit this opinion when next year starts. My opinion is that Sims will not be the prohibitive starter coming out of spring and it will be wide open. And yes I have a lot of faith in our coaches but we had 3rd and 4th string guys playing all over the place but not the third string QB? WTH

The guy who will most likely be competing for the job is Cooper Bateman and we don't want to burn his redshirt.

Saban has said if AJ goes down Sims would go into the game. Don't you want him to at least have a few game time reps if he is needed to step in and play?

I still haven't gave up on Alec Morris until proven wrong I think he's capable of being a starting QB in the SEC.

he has had game reps through out the year. I just thought our 3rd string needed game reps too and wanted to see him run the O

Yea guys, spring games only mean something if the back-up QBs suck it up...

I was hoping to see Morris but the coaches felt it was more important to get Sims reps. No biggie.

If Morris is better than Sims he'll have plenty opportunity to prove it in spring and fall camp.
