Hopefully next season will be as good as it was for Urban in 07 when they went 9-4

And lost to Michigan in the bowl game with freaking Tim Tebow at qb and then turned it around in 08 and won the championship.

We know what the problem was this season. It's up to DeBoer to fix it. I think he will. The guy has won everywhere he's been. I don't think he's suddenly lost it. And I don't think he needs a player as good as Tebow to do it (but it would be nice to have). Just someone who can quit giving the other team red zone field position by turning the ball over, can read defenses and actually get the ball to his receivers to give them a chance. That's all this team was missing.

The defense is good and will be good next year. An average QB this year and we are in the playoffs this year. We have a Tua/Bryce level QB coming in next year. Just need the offense to function, which it did not for large stretches this year

We'll see. That Florida team had an elite defense and the Pouncey twins on the offensive line. They had a first round tight end, Percy Harvin, Louis Murphy, Riley Cooper...and most importantly if you've seen any of the documentaries about that team, they were starving to be great. They had some dogs and Meyer is a scumbag but he really fed into that culture of being nasty, which is what you want your football team to be. It's not terribly dissimilar from where the Georgia program is today. I really think Kirby's Georgia program's closest parallel is Meyer's Florida. Kirby has managed to replicate peak Florida though. They get unfairly compared to Saban's dynasty, but they've still got a ways to go there

Well, when you have a QB who can't read defenses on his own, is unable to adjust to the proper protections, make the correct read on a handoff, and is reliant on the sideline literally every single snap to give him the right call, it's nearly impossible to succeed.

The biggest problem with the offense was consistency, and how can there be consistency with everything listed above?

I still have faith in DeBoer. He's keeping up the recruiting standard we're used to and was scheming guys wide open all year on offense. Unfortunately his offense had a cinderblock tied around its ankle named Milroe. Looking forward to see what he can do with an actual QB.

agreed. It's impossible to judge results of playcalling for instance if the QB is not able/capable of actually running the play. So many missed open receivers, so many poor decisions, so many times when he should have run when he tried to pass and vice versa. Never seen a guy with such incredible attributes and zero feel for the game. That's milroe

100%. The defense had to put up with a ton of crap thanks to their qb. But they held their own. I feel very confident with where they are heading. Kane Wommack did his job and very much improved them as a unit.
