I do believe Bama would have had 3 receivers taken in the first round! Has that ever happened before.?.I can't imagine it has! My opinion...I like Smith better than Jeudy and Ruggs....very happy he's back!

We could’ve had 6 offensive players drafted in the first round

and NO Def-players...which explains our last few seasons. :(

Turnover in d staff was insane. If Pruitt had stayed as DC we no doubt have 2 more NCs. Another reason to hate Tennessee. And if they didn't hurt Tua this year we would probably have had a 3rd even with the deficiencies on D

Well...I do believe there is a drop in talent to go along with coaching issues. No superstuds on the d line and very little depth.

q Williams was as super stud as it's possible to be, and who knows if ray would have been that guy, he didn't get to play. Barmore looks to be in the super stud mold, dale did great for a true freshman. Only real disappointment was Raekwon Davis never living up to the extreme promise of his sophomore season. And you can't discount the effect of injuries, most of which piled up in the D the last 2 years, more injuries to let players than I can ever remember for any team in any stretch

With all the freshmen that played last year, Ray finally coming back healthy, and Barmore back, I think this dline has a chance to be elite.

We will see. I didn't see anything from those guys that really made me think they are going to be great. Barmore was ok against average opponents but played out of control most of the time and really was not effective in the big games, i.e. LSU AU. I didn't really see any improvement in that unit from the beginning of the season to the Citrus Bowl. Really I didn't see any improvement in the whole defense. Maybe the fourth quarter of the Citrus Bowl? It's really concerning.
I think the defense overall has gone downhill since JP left for UT. I think it's not one particular area that is lacking but a collection of things that really manifested last year with the injuries.

I’ll be honest his product of work would have put him above Ruggs and Jerry I don’t say that lightly but the kid has won us so many big games. Natty, MSU, and put us back in the LSU game.
