Let me start by saying I don’t particularly like Gruden. I’m a Raiders fan and I witnessed first hand how a lot of the game passed him by. Preparation wasn’t one of those things though. He was awful at personnel and his playcalling is antiquated.

This was a bit interesting though in that Penix is almost dismissive of it as well since being in the NFL and you notice almost all NFL teams have extended snap counts to get everything right and not allow the defense to time your cadence.

Well, you have an accomplished former head coach and a current nfl QB talking about the simplicity of the snap counts when he was at Washington. They seem to both think it’s a bit too simplistic.

Those coaches at Washington are now our coaches. It’s the offseason and I thought this was interesting.

That’s my point.

Did you hear the interview with Ty at the combine? He was asked his “ wordiest” play call from this year . No lie it seemed like 6-8 words … maybe the snap count has to be shorter

Pennix needs to get a new look unless he has some skin condition on his head.

Looks like he just stepped off the set of The Wire or New Jack City.
