Very interesting interview. Forgive my ignorance but who is Kevin Hagan and how does he have such a finger on the pulse of the program?

Can someone give a snippet of what was said, since I can't hear what he's saying... hearing impaired and all.

I'd say "ALLEGED" information.

Google turns up nothing but the guy's twitter feed. A peek at a couple of other Bama forums say he is simply a 'connected' fan.

In other words, he may know stuff but he may well be just another internet hero.

Honestly, If someone’s posted what he said in that interview they would be mf’ed 100 times, accused of not being a true fan 50 times, had their thread locked ....and been possibly placed on suspension.

I believe every word he said. Particularly the statement about 2015 being Bama’s last title under Saban had the qb change not been made. I also believe the whole team and all the coaches wanted Tua for a while and Saban was the last holdout.

Saban values trust over talent. True words. But when it’s desperation time, the script flips.

I have never heard of this guy.

Said there were 4 main issues facing Saban going onto the game...some solved and some still not

1- Jalen v Tua..rumbling around Saban from players and coaches but the game forced his hand.
2- Tosh or somebody else as DC. They expected to have Pruitt through next season. If Tosh is not calling next year play he gone.
3- Saban realizes need better recruiters on staff. The attrition in the staff has hurt over the last few years.
4- 4 or 5 players to move on for various reasons.

He said if we lost with Jalen that 2015 would have been the last title won at Alabama. Now he sees 2-3 more.

2017 class best one to date and staff sees 6-7 potential first round guys.

Pruitt is class and Kirby is an arse.

That about sums it up.

No, But I’ve posted everything he said. Every point. Including Daboll probably begging Saban to play Tua all along. The record is there.

And as for leatherwood, people have been saying the same thing on this board for a while.

He also praised Jedrick Wills who we have been begging for but he hasn't made it onto the field yet.

Wills plays in the formation we use to overload one side of
the line. Of course, he's also played in mop-up time.

What forced his hand was the simple fact that we were gonna get beat if he didn't make a change. Actually, not merely beaten. Blown out. Our defense likely would have been gassed from being out there all the time, and the score likely would have ended up something like 34-7.

If we had been up 13-0 at halftime instead of down, Saban wouldn't have pulled Hurts.

Reports were widely circulated about Pruitt clashing with Richt and other coaches at Georgia.

The last time you read about any issues with Kirby in his 9 years at Bama was never.

But everyone has an opinion, I guess.

Pruitt's clashes were about modernizing the UGA program. I don't think it was with Richt directly but more with the powers that be over there. Kirby actually reaped some of those benefits immediately upon (or shortly after) taking over. One easily visible example is the indoor practice facility.

Indoor Athletic Facility dedicated at the University of Georgia

I'm listening now. The guy sounds pretty young to me/

He said WR coach Mike Locksley deserved a lot of credit for...and I'm quoting here..."quelling a rebellion" by the WRs most of the season, that the WRs were "screaming for a change."

We got wind of an altercation in the locker room after the Auburn game, but if it was as bad as "screaming for a change" all year and Locksley having to "quell a rebellion", I think we'd have heard it from multiple and reputable sources in the media. If nothing else, it would have been on players' Twitters. I don't think even Saban has that much control over their social media.

My take...maybe there was some truth to it, but I think this Hagan guy has embellished it tremendously.

This interview with Fran Tarkenton says it was a helluva lot more than that. "Disruptive culture." "“I think [Jeremy Pruitt] has come over and been very boisterous, been very loud,” Tarkenton said in November, according to CBSSports.com. "

"But I think what we had was the making of a disruptive culture. And if you have a football program, it has to be a culture of respect and love and togetherness and everybody pulling together. I don’t think that was what we had the last couple years.”

Reports this week suggested his exit was not handled in the best manner with KS taking some pictures of the recruiting board to show kids once he got to UGA.

that is not my opinion I just summarized what the guy said for the hearing impaired poster like he requested.
