Football A-. One of Saban's weakest teams but still played for a natty. Let too many teams play them close with a few coming down to the last 3-4 min. Won a Heisman

MBB-B-. Lost a lot of games down the stretch. Missed Jones in a big way. Was one and done in the dance. Oats cleaned house and for good reason.

Gymnastics. B+. Did advance to final 8 but not the final 4. Oddly enough AU did make final 4. You have to put up 198 or above to win a natty in this sport. Duckworth left which may be good or may be bad. You decide.

SB-B. No power hitting and lost Lexi for the last month. Having one dominate pitcher only for post season took its toll. Lost a lot of games in the last month including one and done in the SEC tournament. Only scored 4 runs VS Stanford in 3 games. Two best players portalled in and two others portalled out and had great seasons at ARK and UF. Has Murph gotten stale. Some say yes.

Baseball-B-. Who would have thought they are still playing now that SB did not make a super. The team lost a lot of games in the last month but won big over ARK twice to make it to Hoover. I am not sure Bo is the answer. Barring winning the SEC tournament this team probably wont make a regional. Not having Prelip was huge. Numbers wise this team was not as good as last years team.

Wow..I know the MBB disappointed based on projections and all but an F. So should Oats have been fired with an F grade?

Will Murph pull a Duckworth perhaps? Bo starts his revenge tour on a mediocre season today at 10AM

Students would all try and get in OPs class. Easy grader.

Softball and men’s basketball have to be Cs based on expectations versus results. No NCAA tourney for baseball and bottom third of the conference gets no better than C either.

Softball hitting has been an issue for years and is finally reaching a the cellar.

Patrick Murphy is a fine coach for the program with results that speak for themselves over the years, plenty of coaches can get their programs relevant for a few years, but Murphy has had Alabama consistently in the national conversation since 2000..... so here's the rub. The hitting coach is his ride-or-die assistant Ally Habetz.

She has never been seriously in danger of being poached or promoted, save for that one crazy week with LSU in 2011. Obviously we chalked that up to loyalty, but now I'm beginning to wonder if there's a reason no one ever came to poach her away.

If this is the reason, then Murphy is stuck and so are we because there's no way in the world he's firing her.

This is an awkward parallel to bring up since.... how it ended up for her, but Gymanstics was cratering a few years ago until Dana Duckworth decided to make the painful decision to let go of an assistant who'd been here since 1997. We're thankful for his work here and titles but recruiting was dropping off, results were declining and if something didn't change, Duckworth knew she'd be gone... but like in 2018. It sucked but our results began improving following the change.

Interestingly enough, the last time Murphy fired an assistant, Vann Stuedeman replaced by VanBrakle, we won the National Championship the very next year.
