If it's down to those two, I pick Coker.

Yup.

Rotate vs Wisconsin, maybe MTSU as well, then hopefully we've got it figured out for the Ole Miss game.

I can live with this as NS looking for a steady eddie and not a game changer

I'd say Coker has more big play potential, plus can run some.

Morris seems to have better decision making.

i doubt they rotate every other series. ONe gets 3 series and the other gets 1 or 2. then go with hot hand in second half unless we get a huge lead

sounds like morris makes the best decisions, which with our D and punting situation might be the deciding factor. if our qb can limit turnovers, make good decisions, and hit the occasional big pass in play action we will be very very hard to beat. back to the winning formula that got us 3 NCs in 5 years

The way this team is coming together reminds me of 2009. No flashy offense, just running the ball and trusting the defense to create turnovers and prevent scoring plays.

I'm totally fine with that.

Didn't Blake sims basically predict Morris would win this?

a lot of our skilled playmakers are underclassmen or inexperienced upperclassmen. So it will take a few games for them to get comfy

After today's scrimmage...looks like Coker and Morris are 1A and 1A. Cornwell is last in order, if you go by performance. @RyanCFowler

Unofficially - Coker is 13/18 with 3 TD's and 1 INT. Morris is 8/17 with 1 TD and 0 INT's round 200 yards passing. @RyanCFowler

He did note that Morris' last three throws were dropped. Idk if any of Coker's or any other of Morris' were dropped.

if an underclassman who is not a true freshmen sees he is 4 or 5 on depth chart do you see him leave now as he would still have to sit out either way

To be fair... Coker completed 2 TD drives that Morris and Bateman started. @RyanCFowler

Depends on the position, the player, the guys in front of him, etc. Tough to tell

wondering because at one point he said coker had 2 tds and 2 ints. there is a big difference in a game between 3 tds 1 int and 3 tds and 2 ints as far as favorable outcome

Oh. Well Cornwell seems to be last right now and he's a RS Freshman, he'd have to sit out next year if he transferred, so he'd have two years left at a new school. He might.

well if he is last on the depth now he wont see any PT at Bama. so in essence this is going to be a RS year for him anyway. Just thinking outside the box as we saw Ricky Town leave
