There is really one one significant change we could make at this point. Against a team with the speed and passing game that could do some of what UT did to us, Move Kool-Aid to dime and add Ricks at his corner spot. That would give us 7/1/14/3 with 9/2 on the back end. Kool-Aid stepped in and covered a little at Nickle due to injury for part of a game earlier in the year. Story might be an option to help out in place of Hellams some of the time.

If they started prepping Khyree Jackson at safety this past Monday, he might be able to start doing spot help for Hellams by LSU week. When we would need him most is for Ole Miss.

edit: Sl0thstronautEsq beat me to it guess I should have read more replies.

I’m a big Koolaid fan. Guy has great, in your pocket, coverage skills but Koolaid isn’t physical enough to play anywhere but outside on the regular. He is shy to contact

I could definitively see Arnold moving to safety. And I like him as a player so no critique there. I just think he’s better suited to be a safety, or anything not on an island or isolated.

That being said I’m critical of our dbs only because it’s easy and even that isn’t an indictment. I consider it to be the hardest position behind only a qb in certain systems. A college db takes a lot of punishment both physical and mental during the course of todays college game. And he isn’t allowed to hand out very much in return. Is what it is

Agree with Woody! Don’t see us having much changes, if any at all! The issues we had with Tennessee seems like easy fixes and full on changes is not necessarily needed. I do believe we need to fix “dime”, Moore is just not his old self anymore and Hellams is a great down hill safety but when teams scheme him to be isolated with slot receivers, it is a complete disaster.

There is a guy on the on3 site saying that he's has sources that were at practice all week and that Ricks is starting. Have no clue how credible the guy is. It wouldn't surprise me at all for him to get more playing time tonight.

The whole podcast was fun, but the way he broke down our poor defense alignment was pretty great. I need to watch his break down with the videos he promised to do. Also the interview with Gene Stallings that was recorded after.

I agree with everything you said. Khyree maybe the safety we’ve been wanting all along. Ala Eddie Jackson

Is Pete Golding still DC?

Then absolutely nothing will change.

Khyree Jackson is a safety. Our coaching staff needs a mental evaluation because I've been saying this forever like buddy is playing out of position.

I see Eli Ricks may be getting the start tonight opposite Kool Aid.

That would be perfect. Arnold should be our nickel.

Guess the guy on the on3 site was right. I've been wanting to see Ricks get some playing time.
