We were outnumbered and it made a difference.
Am sick of tide pride and AClub seats going to opposing teams.
Are our fans too complacent or do they just not give a shite?
And please, no Dabo ever.

I was there. The crowd didn't make a difference.

It was incredible how many Clemson fans came down to Tampa. It was probably 60-40 in the stadium and probably 6:1 ratio in Tampa. Thousands of Tiger fans were watching the game outside the stadium at tailgates or bars. It was actually kind of shocking.

Now you're just being fricking stupid. Calling out a fan base for not spending $1,000 for a ticket on a work day a week after the holidays.

Seriously. STFU.

Dude was all class last night, and deserved to win. We'd be extremely lucky to get him after Saban.

Clemson's fanbase travels really well, probably the best out of the non blue bloods. Plus the national championship game is still a novelty for them after 35 years so of course they'd show up in droves.

Add in the fact that a lot of their alumni move to Florida and its pretty easy to see how they can easily fill up half of a rather small stadium like Raymond James.

I am talking about our ticket holders selling their tickets. Tide Oride and A Club seats full of orange

To be fair, the same prices and circumstances applied to Clemson fans as well

It's a little different if you've already seen your team win 4 NCs.

How many of our fans have been to see all four titles?

I've been to 2. My dad has been to 3 and went last night. My mom went last night. My sister has been to 2 or 3. That's not counting the semifinal games or other BCS games. I'd say most of our fans that can afford it have seen us win at least 1 NC in person.

In the stadium it seriously looked like 70/30 Clemson. They weren't too loud in the first half but man in the second half when they started scoring that stadium almost turned into a home stadium for them when we had the ball.

Also, Clemson fans had to pay for two trips to Arizona and a trip to Tampa within the past year. They definitely wanted it more.

When Alabama fans do show up, we aren't nearly as loud or involved as we need to be. We just sit there like it's a golf match or something.

Of course they did. They haven't won anything in 35 years.

Regardless. I'm not going to pay $1000+ to see a football game unless the game starts in a city that I want to visit. After 4 NCs, there's probably a lot of Bama fans that feel the same way.

If we go another 20 years without winning a NC, you'll see us come out in droves again.

Here's my rant on this subject:

I've been complaining for 3 decades about Bama fans and their either complete lack of understanding of their importance in helping our defense by making noise or their complacency in just expecting Bama to win.

Last night I had a great seat in the lower bowl on about the 40. I was standing and yelling every down our D was on the field. I was one of the few in my general area who were doing so. The woman (Bama fan) in front of me and one seat to my right would snap her head and look at me every time I began yelling. She was clearly perturbed.

Halfway through the 2nd qtr I ran up to go to the restroom and ran into a friend of mine who was clearly shaken up. She thought her husband was about to get arrested. She then proceeded to tell me it all stemmed because he had been yelling and a woman (Bama fan) told him to be quiet. He lost it and went off on her and she called security. Nothing happened over this but it is illustrative of our sorry fanbase. Not everyone mind you but a large percentage.

I left and walked back to my seat. First thing I noticed was the entire section of 235 which was dead on the 50 was seated and this wasn't during a timeout or anything. Play was taking place as I walked by the section. It was as if everyone came to a movie or play. Simply inexcusable in my book but sadly this is what I've come to expect.

In the few rare moments last night when the crowd was yelling it clearly had an impact as Clemson had to call timeouts. Why is this so hard for Bama fans to comprehend?

If you're going to sit down and shut up then do it in the comfort of your home.

Was Bama outnumbered by Clemson fans in the stadium? Clearly. But honestly we could've outnumbered them 8-1 and they still would've been making more noise.

We have a large older sect of fans (60+) that by in large are very complacent/unenthusiastic fans. They show up to games & contribute, but do not get into the game.

No they weren't, at least not the majority of sections.
