CNS press conference reference to Belichick .. how did that come about? There is no context to it.
Did he just randomly insert line about Belichick

The reporter paraphrased Bill doesn't like waiting until halftime to make defensive adjustments. If they need to be made, you make them on the sideline and use time at halftime to motivate the team or give'em a pep talk. She asked Saban how he views when/how to make adjustments.

Saban said he disagrees with Bill (on a lot of things at times) and he's sure Bill disagrees with things he does, too.

Made a great point that making adjustments is hard to do on the sideline when the defense is in their particular groups...sometimes it may be better to wait until halftime to get the whole defense together so they're all on the same page because adjusting the DL may effect the outside backers' positioning which effects the inside backers on assignments which effects the safeties and how they shift which effect the corners in how they cover.

I would say adjustments that can be made during the flow of the game are made during the flow of the game. Adjustments that can only be made during halftime are made during halftime.

I can’t imagine any major college or NFL coach taking a play longer than necessary to make an adjustment that can be made immediately.

The coaches coach one side of the ball and the players play one side of the ball. Everyone is available between possessions. Should be able to figure most of it out on the sideline.

And when you think about cfb vs NFL this makes sense. I would expect NFL players to be better able to adjust and understand those assignment changes in real time than college players.
