I was asleep by the time this was posted. Is this a rumor going around or something?
Yes, I read it on here or on the recruiting board last night from a UGA poster.

I would put UGA in the Clemson tier no doubt.
But Clemson is the one not in our tier.
If you put UGA in the ACC they would have the same success as Clemson. But put Clemson in the SEC east and I think they drop a couple each year.
I tend to agree here. If the ACC was somewhat competitive I am not sure last year and this year they make the playoffs. UGA always has had the talent but for some reason can never get over the hump to win it all. Every team wants to be like Saban and UA but what we are seeing at UA will never happen again. No one is ever going to emulate what our program is doing right now and why we are so lucky for this run. That is what cracks me up when UGA and CU fans say they are near the top with us. Yes both programs are near the top of the current cycle but neither program or any other will ever be able to sustain what Saban has done now for 11 years.

I’ve seen it from several Georgia fans. Including a Georgia fan in this thread.

I wouldn't say we're going head to head against Bama for Neal. We're just making a last minute Hail Mary for him and it's a very tiny chance, if any, that we get him.
Any good coach should make an effort for any top player uncommitted. Getting them on campus is a big deal. One of the reason Saban is great when it comes to recruiting is because he is relentless.

Heck, if I was the team that he picked, I would still send my main recruiter to see him the night before just to solidify everything in case he starts getting cold feet. I could play devil’s advocate and say the family would not have let their son make his decision and then let the rival coach come in the night before to try to cause a little chaos.

Ah. I didn't go back far enough.
Regardless of what Webb does today, can we all agree that we're just happy the Saints have taken back the #1 seed in the NFC?
Super Bowl bound baby.

Dazalin Worsham is having hip surgery this morning.
He must have heard Webb is headed to UGA too.

I just want the snow to stop. We got around 10 inches yesterday and woke up this morning and coming down once again. I mean the kids are enjoying the snow and sledding and I get paid whether campus is closed or not but man.

Where do you live? I hate snow!

It rained here all damn day Saturday. It appears today is going to be shitty as well.
It's all good though. My wife dragged me to a Christmas musical at a Methodist church yesterday.
We aren't Methodist.
ETA: I gotta say though, that church was impressive. It was absolutely enormous. Any of you baws go to Frazer Methodist in Montgomery?

Well this is interesting:
quote:
Talked to a source with knowledge of the recruitment of the nation’s No. 4 running back Jerrion Ealy out of Flowood (Ms.) Jackson Prep.
The Top247 recruit has been a verbal to the Rebels since Dec. of 2017.
The source says he believes Ealy won’t sign in the upcoming Early Signing Period that runs Dec. 19-21 and may not even put pen to paper in February as he waits to see how his baseball season unfolds. The 5-foot-10, 200-pound Ealy is a potential high draft choice in the Major League Baseball Draft. The source said he wants to play out his senior season on the diamond while also watching how recruiting classes shape up and depth charts take shape on the next level.
I believe Clemson and Mississippi State are the two programs to watch with the prowess of their baseball programs along with the opportunity on the football field. The source said Alabama could be in there down the road as well.
Easy took an official to Mississippi State this weekend. He’s been to Clemson this fall. Obviously very familiar with Ole Miss, he’s logged for an official to see the Rebels on Jan. 26.

Maybe once a year it seems lately. Usually a few inches here and there with a lot of ice. But the last few years when it snows it gets pretty heavy. I really feel though for those east of hear. Many counties still dealing with the hurricane aftermath and flooding and this will bring several inches of rain to the area. We also had a lot of rain over the past few weeks and those counties have been in flood warnings prior to this snow. There is a large state park(lake) just down the road from me that dumps into 2 of 3 major rivers that caused a lot of flooding during the hurricanes. Last week the lake was 18 feet above normal level with all the beaches and boat ramps, etc. under water because they can not release the water.

Kipp Adams put out an update on Nakobe Dean this morning:
Kirby is going in home today and Saban is going in home, with Golding, tomorrow night. Dean will be coming to the Gump on Wednesday for the AL/MS All-Star Game practices.
