Please provide the specifics of when Shavers has played extensively and looked poor in games.

We still have a strong chance of being pretty nasty at receiver in 2 years. Waddle, D. Smith if he stays, Shavers if he develops, Williams and possibly Zipperer.

I'm hoping we can pull Fleming or one of the other kids we have committed take that next step to the next level in their development.

Henry Ruggs was rated, but he kind of blew up his last 16 months.

X.Williams looked good in the UA all-star game and that was after he took flack from drops in practice. It would be nice for both him amd Shavers to take their next step in their progression.

#13 threw the ball to #14 twice this year and neither time did it appear #14 was running route that #13 expected him to run. I guess it could be possible the playbook doesn't come easy to #14.

I think he meant where he was probably done what was asked of him to run block or something. But because he hasn't scored at TD he's played poorly

One of those I believe was for a fade route in the endzone. The other I believe he had a drop.

Anyways, he has played timid. Not knowing plays can do that.

All of this because I questioned why you believed a specific player was going to be very good.

Yet you don't care lol.

It's okay for people to not agree with you or to question your opinions.

Brandon Turnage is taking an OV to Ole Miss this weekend.

His OV to Alabama is scheduled for next weekend FWIW.

I really think as long as Gattis stays you will see those 2 make the jump. If Pickens flips and qualifies he is impact guy. Fleming or Burton would be nice pulls in the 2020 class, along with our other commits.

I'm honestly really excited to see what that offense looks like in 2 years considering how diverse our skill players will be when we reach that point.

Gotcha. He's had two passes thrown in his direction, didn't catch either, and so he's looked "timid" in the process. Makes perfect sense now that you've laid it out for me.

Even more so because Taulia could be the starter by that time and he is more of a runner than Tua.

One thing for sure; we're going to be dynamic.

Hank posted a new article on Jordan Battle based on an interview by Miami mod Andrew Ivins. Battle said he and his parents loved their OV to Bama. But he also said unless Urbs leaves he is sticking with his commitment to Ohio State and plans to sign early.

Sidenotes: Jeffery Carter's OV to Bama is set for the weekend of Dec 7. As TS mentioned above, Brandon Turnage has an OV to Ole Miss this coming weeked, his Bama OV the weekend of Dec 7 and the AL-MS all-star game the following weekend.

In the interests of trying to bring some substance to the Shavers talk, I did some quick research and found out he's been targeted four times this season, and only one pass has even been within two yards of his hands, and none of them qualify as a drop.

Everyone can make their own judgments about Shavers' future, but at the end of the day he'll get to show us whether he can get it done or not.

Now, for your viewing pleasure:

Pass #1 (Bama vs. Ole Miss) - Mac Jones pass knocked away

Pass #2 (Bama vs. Missouri) - Tua sails throw high and behind

Pass #3 (Bama vs. LSU) - Corner blitz mix-up

Pass #4 (Bama vs. The Citadel) - Deep pass incomplete

Now, back to recruiting!

The clips you provided only support my initial question.

In the first clip with Mac Jones he doesn't take his route the right depth and because of this the CB was still under him. Easy cover.

In the second clip, the ball isn't high.. Shavers just slips trying to come out of his break/cut. You can see his disappointment with himself when he gets up.

In the third clip it is obvious Shavers and Tua aren't on the same page. That's not a badly thrown ball, that's a miscommunication.

The fourth clip Shavers was overthrown.

There is nothing from those clips that support Shavers being very good soon. He has the measurables and obviously straight line speed, but he needs a lot of development.

That's where we hope Gattis can come in and help him get to that next level.

I'm not saying he can't become very good. I'm saying he hasn't shown us much so far.

Which one of those clips proves that he is timid.

Geez, you guys just keep going it at it. Does everyone have to prove their point and be right all the time. Sometimes “ I agree to disagree” suffices.
