Cool, I'm about to graduate OTS and I'm going to go to school for 17D.

Congrats brother.

I actually found out yesterday afternoon that I got promoted. My EPR got lost during my PCS so I actually would have sewn on over a month ago, but the supplemental release was today.

Hank South said in his recruiting chat yesterday that King Mwikuta is in line for a rankings bump as well.

King Mwikuta is one of my favorites.

Congrats on your promotion!

He's #4 overall on ESPN's rankings and playing in the Under Armour AA Game. He isn't dropping.

Congrats on promotion brother - I have no doubt that it's well deserved.

Relative to your sad GIF about Thibs and happy GIF about Bogle:

I would love to have Thibs talent but he makes me a little nervous. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he seems like a bad kid (not a thug/criminal) at all just seems like Thibs thinks a lot about Thibs. Some of his comments and actions just seem like he may bring some baggage. Saban is the best in the business (not even close) at reprogramming these kids but it doesn't always work.

Haven't heard shite from Bogle (besides him wrecking shite at camps).

Coach Eaux needs to be focusing on OL & DL recruiting and player development for those positions.

This right here^^^

Even if they got both it would not be enough to put LSU in contention. And neither would finish their career with Coach O as their coach there. Again not sure why anyone in those positions wold want to play behind that line.

Having said all that, with the way this class has played out, I wouldn't be surprised if we miss on Thibs and Bogle and end up with Nolan (or some other rush end).

I'm not going to lie, I want Thibs for recruiting rankings moreso than what he can do on the field.

He's a great talent, but we have Anoma already and Kevin Harris committed so he would be a luxury at this point.

I looked for his Senior film after seeing your post this morning. He doesn't have much out there.

I'm in government work too (not military though - thanks for your service) so it's all relative.

Three-Point Stance: More 5-star predictions; ranking the conferences

Rivals.com National Recruiting Director Mike Farrell’s thought-provoking Three-Point Stance is here with some predictions on more uncommitted five-stars, ranking the conferences and predictions for the weekend.

Iirc, Bogle got sidelined by a sprained knee.

1. More five-stars, more predictions

Yesterday I predicted the destination of the seven players in the top 10, but why not go a bit further? Here are my predictions on the rest of the uncommitted five-stars:

No. 14 Chris Steele – Florida. This is one of the easier ones, which is surprising since Steele is unpredictable and has already committed to UCLA and USC. But he seems to be a Florida lock right now.

No. 17 Zach Harrison – Michigan. It’s a tough battle between Ohio State and Michigan here but I have the Wolverines winning this one in a close battle.

No. 23 Clay Webb – Alabama. Clemson and Georgia are making a push, but this one has been done from the beginning. He could end up elsewhere, but I would be surprised.

No. 29 Evan Neal – Alabama. Miami is a big threat but in the end Alabama usually gets who they want and they want Neal badly.

Flip Meter: Who's solid, who's not in the South?

quote:

Recruiting is really heating up with the Early Signing Period exactly six weeks away. Many top committed prospects are visiting other programs, either to further evaluate their options or to just have fun.

We look at a dozen prospects in the South and break down exactly how worried fanbases should be heading into the home stretch.

Jerrion Ealy

Ole Miss played South Carolina last weekend, but Rebel commit Jerrion Ealy was not in Oxford, he was on the Clemson campus. He saw the Tigers hang 77 points on Louisville. The two-sport star is committed to Ole Miss to play football and baseball, but Clemson has quietly become a real threat. Alabama is in this as well and he will be visiting the Crimson Tide this weekend.

Ealy is a special athlete who is likely to be selected in the first round of the MLB Draft next June. Based on the chatter behind the scenes, he seems to looking at his options a little more than he once was.

Verdict: Moderate concern

George Pickens

Is LSU a threat to Auburn for five-star wide receiver George Pickens? He was back in Baton Rouge for the second time this season for the Alabama game, so those Tigers may be in this a little more than most thought. Alabama is still viewed as the biggest threat and Pickens is expected in Tuscaloosa for the Iron Bowl. Pickens was the first 2019 commit for Auburn, and they are still viewed as the favorite, but this one is not over.

Verdict: Moderate concern
