In his mini documentary he said that people are saying he got kicked out of school but he said he switched because he wanted to.

Someone may want to check Ishmael Sopsher's Twitter account.

New CB forecasts this morning:

Marcus Banks to ATM - ATM mod.

Milton Wright to Purdue - 2 CBs.

Bralen Ingraham to Miami.

I asked about Banks this morning. Was mentioned by someone with consistently good info that he measured as rather small when he visited and probably won't be able to commit. Take it FWIW.

247 lists Banks at 6-0/170. If that's accurate, he does need to beef up. From what I've seen on BOL, it doesn't appear he has a green light right now. It's sounding like Pola-Gates and Jeffery Carter are ahead him him on Bama's DBs board.

Just wasted 20 minutes of my life listening to Andrew Bone talk in circles.

Anyhow he thinks Sopsher will end up at LSU because of how often he is on their campus, and because LSU having a good season.

I won't listen or join any site that he is a part of. It annoys me that we are both Bama fans. He needs to switch to Auburn

Think he measured a good bit shorter than that on his visit. Very good player, but I'd guess we go in a different direction.

Shea Dixon quote:

quote:

DL: As mentioned above, they weren’t planning to take a big defensive line class, but with moving a couple guys from the defensive line to offensive line, they may wind up with between 2-3 defensive linemen in this class, including the lone current commit in Evans. For the longest time, five-star Amite defensive tackle Ishmael Sopsher has been on top of the board. But as time goes on, I get the sense that some folks at LSU feel less confident in their chances. Other feel things are still neck-and-neck. They felt it was very telling that he didn’t come to the win over Georgia, but instead chose to go visit Alabama for their game against Missouri. And now, he won’t be back in Tiger Stadium again until LSU hosts … Alabama. They are having no trouble getting Devonta Lee to campus for games, but it hasn't been that same pace with Sopsher. This is my opinion and I don't have a Crystal Ball pick in either way, but I feel it’s safe to say Alabama leads. I know Ed Orgeron will continue to recruit him until the end, and I could be reading it all wrong, but LSU is putting in plans for how things will finish if they don’t get him.

I hate to be the guy that says Lia is a lock to Bama but he is. His parents like to be at all of their games. Right now, they watch Lia on Friday and then travel to Tua's games. That won't be possible when they are both playing on Saturday if they are on different teams. They are OV'ing the Vols because of the game and more than likely they will do the same thing for the LSU game. It's a pretty smart thing to do

Shea also predicts LSU will flip Christian Williams and sign Siaki Ika.

And he's close to predicting Nakobe Dean to LSU.

With Kenny King as his hs coach?

That is funny.

King might be the biggest Bama homer coaching in the state.

I think we lose out on one of Turnage and Williams. Just my opinion but looking at the film they are both safties imo and we already have a safety committed. Think we try and get two CBs if one leaves.

Listened to Kevin Hagan's last two hits on Bill King (this week and last week). Zero relevant/new recruiting insights.

Interesting tidbits:

> As of last week (though I don't think this changed much after the Mizzou game) we are running the ball on 62% of our play calls. That would be a record under Saban at Bama. I was honestly surprised (I thought we were passing more than usual). However, I assume some of this may be due to so few incompletions, completions being so fricking long and blow outs.

> He thought he would have some breaking news but it's already been reported that Deonte Brown making a move on Cotton. He said don't be surprised to see Deonte starting by LSU week.

> He said Anfernee was not 100% from his injury last year and it was a more serious injury than many thought. I had thought Anfernee may leave after this year but this may mean he likely stays for at least another season (similar situation with Mack).

> He said if they were healthy that Lewis and Allen would probably be our best two pass rushers (with Anfernee not at 100%). I totally believe that about Lewis. Not sure about Allen. Miller is coming on I feel.

> He basically said he's not going to say what Tua's injury is/was but that it would need three to four weeks to be right. He said this was week two. He said he believes he will start against UT but he wishes they would just let him rest. He said Bama has the best medical staff in the country so he's not second guessing them he just would feel better if he sat.

No clue what the injury is and it's probably not a mcl strain/tear but that would fit the timeline (depending on the degree). I tore mine and came back when it was about 80%. I tweeked it several times after coming back (and in the moment it hurt like shite and I thought maybe it had been reinjured) but I continued to progress despite these tweeks (i.e., though they hurt and were scary as shite, the tweeks were not a setback in my recovery).

Having said all that, Tua is much more important to Bama than I was to my HS team.

FWIW, I remember Peyton Manning having a grade one mcl sprain in college and he played the next week (just was a bit limited).

Hank said Taulia will attend the TSIO with his family in the stands. Lia has said he'll take OVs to UT and LSU, but they haven't been sceduled.
