Good. I'd rather have the last visit compared to the other main contenders.

D.J. Dale had 2 short yardage rushing TD’s in a 31-24 win over James Clemens yesterday. He now has 3 TD’s through the first two weeks of the season.

From a recent article on Kayvon Thibodeaux's recruitment:
quote:
Alabama will most likely be getting the next trip from Thibodeaux in late September. "The weekend is set, it will be against Texas A&M (on September 22), we just have to get the flights all set, but that's the weekend I'm planning to go," said Thibodeaux.
Thibodeaux said he's eager to see Tuscaloosa on a fall Saturday and spend time there. "Coach Tosh (Lupoi) is recruiting me and he's the man," said Thibodeaux. "I talk with Coach Saban from time to time. He's a business man, but Coach Tosh is the one recruiting me. I'm looking forward to getting down there, seeing the atmosphere and everything on game day." ...
Thibodeaux said that his top five is set, that no new school will join the mix, that these are the final five. Now, he'll take his visits with plans to decide before the playoffs start. "I'll put it to you this way, I'll be announced before Week Ten, before the end of the regular season," said Thibodeaux. "I have a set timeline. I want to play the playoffs without worrying about recruiting." ...
I like that Thib's Bama OV is just a few weeks after his FSU OV. I hope VT beats FSU tonight and spoils the mood down there.

Mekhail Sherman Believes In Alabama’s Player Development
Alabama 2020 defensive target, Mekhail Sherman’s, size may make you question his age but his play will make you want him on your team.
Sherman received an offer from Alabama this summer. The main thing that stood out to him about the Tide is the way they develop their players.

Sherman received an offer from Alabama this summer. The main thing that stood out to him about the Tide is the way they develop their players.
“I like the way they develop players,” Sherman said. “They can take anyone and turn them into an NFL level talent.”
Alabama defensive coordinator, Tosh Lupoi, left a big impression on Sherman. A familiar face to Sherman also has him excited about Alabama.
“I love the way they have developed Terrel Lewis, who also went to St.John’s,” Sherman said.
St. John’s was faced with a bit of a challenge in their matchup with Hoover. The game was set to be played on Friday night but a lightning delay caused the game to be rescheduled to Saturday at 9 a.m., which caused St. John’s to go back to the Hotel around 11 pm. and wake up at 6 a.m. to prepare for a 9 a.m. kickoff. Sherman believes that he and his teammates were not distracted by these events.
“That is just football. This is what we do,” Sherman said. “We get up at 6:30 in the morning and get after it.”
His hard work has paid off and currently has him ranked as a 5-Star recruit. It is easy to see why he is considered one of the top defensive players in the nation. He has the ability to play outside linebacker as well as provide pressure off the edge with great efficiency.
Alabama knows all too well what linebacker depth means. They currently have one linebacker committed in the 2020 class in Jackson Barton Sherman would be a great addition.

Freshman report: Which first-year players played vs. Louisville
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Top-ranked Alabama advanced to 1-0 with its 51-14 win over Louisville on Saturday in both teams’ season opener. And in its Week 1 non-conference game, a total of 11 true freshmen from the Crimson Tide’s No. 5-ranked signing class from the 2018 recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite, saw the field in the Camping World Kickoff.
It will be interesting to see how Nick Saban chooses to use freshmen this year because of the new redshirt rule, which allows players to play in up to four games and still maintain a year of eligibility.
Here are all the freshmen that entered the game in Alabama’s season-opening contest.
JAYLEN WADDLE
No. 5 WR, No. 39 overall in 2018 rankings
Waddle was the Tide’s first-team punt returner, returning four punts for 80 yards with a long of 31. He scored a touchdown in the return game, but it was called back because of a penalty. The Houston native was also the first wide receiver off the bench and finished the game with the third-most receiving yards (66) on three catches behind DeVonta Smith and Jerry Jeudy.
“That man is electric,” junior running back Josh Jacobs said of Waddle. “He legit runs, like, a 4.3 flat, and he’s going to be a problem.”
ALE KAHO
No. 7 ILB, No. 133 overall in 2018 rankings
After only weeks since joining the Crimson Tide football program, Kaho was on the field early on kickoff return and kickoff. The 247Sports 5-star also lined up at inside linebacker late in the 51-14 contest. He finished his debut with 2.5 total tackles against the Cardinals.
PATRICK SURTAIN II
No. 1 CB, No. 6 overall in 2018 rankings
Surtain played early on punt return with Waddle and also played at cornerback as Trevon Diggs played Star while most of the first-team defense. Surtain recorded 1.5 total tackles in his debut.

Ford saw the field late in the fourth quarter and received two carries for four yards.
CAMERON LATU
No. 7 WDE, No. 131 overall in 2018 rankings
Latu was utilized on kickoffs and at outside linebacker late in the game. He assisted on a tackle.
EYABI ANOMA
No. 1 OLB, No. 4 overall in 2018 rankings
Anoma was a reserve at outside linebacker. He did not record any stats.
JAYLEN MOODY
No. 49 ILB in 2018 rankings
Moody played on punt return and kickoff latte. He did not record any stats.
JOSH JOBE
No. 14 CB, 109 overall in 2018 rankings

I hope he is trying to play three more than redshirt.
Redshirting did wonders for me. More kids need to stop looking at it as an embarrassment or punishment and see it as an extended opportunity to achieve their final goal.
