The 2017 class is gonna go down on the level of the 08/09/13 classes if all these guys who stepped up in the title game pan out, plus others still waiting in the wings

Are we making a push for Bresee?
UA has him scheduled for a visit, and Maryland area super recruiter Mike Locksley is still on staff...

So, I think they might be.

Tremendous player. I think will be a tough pull from Big 10.

LINK ]Top100 recruit to take in Alabama-Louisville (BamaOnLine)

Alabama Jack LB target Khris Bogle.
quote:

Alabama and Louisville will kickoff their 2018 college football seasons on Saturday evening from Orlando. On hand will be several recruits as each program is able to allot a certain number of tickets for neutral-site contests.

Four-star weak-side defensive end Khris Bogle tells BamaOnLine he plans to be at Camping World Stadium for the contest. The 6-foot-3.5, 200-pounder from Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons is recruited as a Jack linebacker by the Crimson Tide.

Bogle is likely to take an official visit to Tuscaloosa later this season, the date of which has yet to be set in stone.

The elite edge rusher has a close bond with Tide defensive line coach Craig Kuligoswki dating back to the first-year Bama assistant's time at Miami. In fact, it's the Hurricanes program Bogle said he would likely be committed to had things shaken out differently.

“I love Coach Kool as a coach," Bogle told 247Sports' Luke Stampini earlier this month. "If he would have stayed at Miami, I probably would have been committed by now.”

Bogle is rated the No. 4 weak-side defensive end and the No. 58 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Is Bogle holding out to see what we look like this year or something?

Bama likes Bogle a lot and vice versa. But unless Bama plans to take 6 LBs, I think he's probably right behind Thibodeaux on their board. Kevin Harris and Thibo are OLBs. Mwikuta plays both ILB & OLB. Shane Lee, Dean and To'oto'o are ILBs.

Linebackers (5-6)
4* ILB LINK ]Shane Lee 6-1/240 MD hudl *
5* ILB Nakobe Dean 6-0/220 MS hudl *
4* LB LINK ]King Mwikuta 6-4/232 GA hudl *
4* OLB LINK ]Kevin Harris 6-4/228 GA hudl *
5* OLB Kayvon Thibodeaux 6-5/239 CA hudl *
4* ILB Henry To'oto'o 6-2/230 CA hudl
4* OLB Khris Bogle 6-4/220 FL hudl
4* ILB?/S Devonta Lee 6-2/212 LA hudl

I kind of figured that. He's our guy if we don't land Thibodeaux

I'd take Bogle over Thibodeaux. I'm biased towards south Florida kids over California kids. South Florida has been very good to us.

Me too. Miami didn't start the southern dynasty with kids outside their footprint

It seems that way to me, but I haven't seen BOL mods or any insiders say that outright. I really don't know -- Bogle might be a take right now if he wanted to commit.

Miami? Southern? Only geographically. I don't really consider any part of Florida (except maybe the panhandle) "the South", unless you're only talking about location on a map. It's its own separate entity.

What have you heard about Bogle? Any feel for where he sits on Bama's board?

I’d to the point of taking the no non-sense guy in Bogle over Thib.

Just that he's high on our board, and that Pruitt really wants him at utk. Haven't heard anything about who leads.
