There is very little talk of Crouch and Alabama, but I keep him on the commitment timeline because he hasn't narrowed his list.
In regards to position most of the articles I have read says he has the opportunity to play running back or linebacker at Alabama. It sounds like he will get the Derrick Henry treatment and have the option to choose. Most recently he has been leaning playing linebacker in college.

Curiosity question...Looking at your list, we could have anywhere from 15 to 20 "early entries" come January. That number looks like a potential problem? Have you ever looked to see how many early entries we might be able to take when classes fire up in January?
My best guess count puts the number at 11 to 14 slots should open in January.
Hurts / Clark / Moseley / D Harris / C Miller / Buggs / Cotton / Casher / Pierschbacher / Kief / Hentges / Dwight
Other maybe's - M Wilson / K Anderson / A Jennings / Q Davis

May be cutting it very close depending on 4 ~ 7 finishing degree by Dec or May

Most players initially enroll at Bama for summer classes. Some enroll earlier. And most take summer classes every year. So it's pretty normal to graduate by December of their senior year. Jalen Hurts is graduating in December of his junior year.

Long article, but it's good:

Jahleel Billingsley didn’t like football at first. The only reason he tried it was because his older brother played, but after the now Alabama commitment discovered he wasn’t in the same division as his brother, meaning they wouldn’t play on the same team, there wasn’t much interest.
“I really didn’t care for football as much,” Billingsley said. “I didn’t like it. I basically cried for about three weeks. I didn’t want to play unless I was playing with my brother. Eventually I fell in love with the game when I got to the next level.”
The West Side Chicago native recalls a specific moment when football clicked for him. “We played this team called the Addison Cowboys,” Billingsley said. “I got my first hit and after that it was up from there.”

The Billingsley family is big into basketball. Seemingly every family member’s name the 4-star tight end rattled off played on the hardwood, including his grandmother who, if you watched his commitment video last month, Billingsley dedicated his decision towards.
“It’s my grandma,” Billingsley said of the impact she had on his life. “Originally she’s from Selma, Alabama, so that played a big role in why I chose Alabama. She’s always just been there. She’s a strong woman. She lived until she was about 90 years old. She was always pretty energetic about seeing us. She was a real warm lady. I don’t know really know how to explain it. She was one of my best friends.”
Even Billingsley’s grandmother played basketball growing up in the Yellowhammer State, but it was clear to the family in the early-goings that the 6-foot-4, 216-pounder had an opportunity at the next level in football.
Ossie Mae Billingsley passed away on March 21, 2016 just over two years before the Crimson Tide offered her grandson a scholarship. “I know she’d be excited,” Billingsley said. “She’d be real excited.”

Talking to Billingsley and people close to the UA pledge, and it’s clear he’s on the right path not just on the field, but off the gridiron as well. Billingsley attributes that to his parents and grandmother, of course, but another influence in his life has kept him going in the right direction.
“My older brother, he was a talented dude as far as sports,” Billingsley said. “But he showed me a lot of the wrong things to do as far as the streets of Chicago. He showed me what not to do. Him being around, keeping me on that straight line on what I’m supposed to be doing and not what the streets of Chicago are doing.”
The Windy City native that roots for the New England Patriots on Sundays says when Alabama came calling he really didn’t think much of it considering he felt they were just putting an offer on the table to say they did. At that point, Florida looked on the verge of receiving a verbal commitment.
That was until Billingsley and his family took an official visit to Tuscaloosa. “I didn’t feel like they really wanted me until I stepped foot on campus,” he said. “Then I knew it was real.”
Nick Saban has become another influential voice on Billingsley’s path. “His pitch about life and just life after football,” Billingsley said. “I guess every coach talks like that, but he’s a person that’s genuine. You feel it when somebody is truly about you. I felt Coach Saban was about me and really wanted me at Alabama.”

Alabama is a big deal to the Billingsley family
Talking with Jahleel Billingsley, you’re not going to hear a whole lot about himself. He’s not one to hype up his accolades. But for his parents, when the Crimson Tide came in the picture, it was worthy of celebration.
“For me as a pops it was a big deal,” Jahleel’s father, Charles Billingsley, said. “Just the rich history of Alabama, of course playing for a No. 1 team that’s always a top tier school, and a path that will set him up for success. It was big deal for me as his dad and a sports fanatic. We were ecstatic.”
Billingsley’s mother echoed her husband’s sentiment and is excited about the opportunity her son has to learn about part of his family’s heritage.
“The history behind Alabama,” Tyhesia Billingsley said. “That’s where his grandparents were born and raised. So he gets to go back there and learn a few things and see there culture. Then of course Alabama is a pretty good school with a great team. If he plans to do something at the next level, that’ll definitely set him up for success going to Alabama.”
Billingsley’s father has an eye for talent having seen professional basketball players growing up like Tim Hardaway and Juwan Howard. He had an idea of what an elite level athlete looked like. He says at about age 14, that’s when he knew Jahleel had the potential.
“Even at the youth level, some of the coaches knew that he had it,” Charles Billingsley said. “He was always a bigger, physical kid, but he was athletic and just had the ability to play the game.”

It’s not often that Alabama has come to Chicago to recruit. The city is abuzz with excitement.
“The local reaction is crazy,” Tyhesia Billingsley said laughing. “Everybody knows he’s going there. We don’t even know the people and they’re like ‘Roll Tide!’ People at my job are always ‘Roll Tide,’ they all follow him on Twitter now, it’s pretty crazy.”
Even though over 700 miles separate the Windy City and Tuscaloosa, there’s a large number of Tide fans in the North.
“In Chicago, up north, people love Alabama football,” Charles Billingsley said. “They know that they’re winners. I can go to my Facebook page or Instagram or whatever and I can post one picture and have 500 views so fast about him going to Alabama. The craze here is big. I think a lot of people will look at his senior season. Alabama up here, people love Alabama football.”
With his commitment out of the way and his senior season on the horizon, the Billingsleys know the opportunity their son has on hand at the next level. And that’s why they’re working to keep him on the right track, even though it may not seem necessary with the type of person Jahleel is.

“My cousin played basketball at Tulane down in New Orleans,” Charles Billingsley said. “So what I did was talk to Jahleel, and my cousin explained his experience as well, just tried to keep embedding positive enforcement for him. He’s a humble kid, we don’t have to do a lot of work. He’s not a kid that gets in trouble, he’s not looking to be out in the streets all the time.
Just keep reinforcing positive opportunity. We talked about him wanting to make it to the next level, meaning the NFL. I told him to study LeBron James. I’m a big fan and advocate of LeBron James. That guy has no off-the-court indications of doing anything negative, he’s a family man, he works hard in the offseason. I told him to study guys like LeBron and just stay positive. The opportunity is there. The situation he’s got going on is too much of a big deal to just throw it away.”
Like his father said, Jahleel is humble. Oftentimes you wouldn’t know he had offers unless you asked.
“He’s not one to boast about anything,” Tyhesia Billingsley said. “He honors the offers and thanks the coaches. You would never even know he’s a kid that has multiple offers, or even an Alabama offer, because it wasn’t like he was telling everybody. We keep him positive. All the notoriety, he takes it, but it doesn’t go to his head.”
