George Pickens didn't make it to Bama today. I was skeptical that he would, following the Auburn visit with the FSU SNL-camp visit. His mom had told Hank it might end up being just too much.

You mean you aren't going to do the "Macho internet guy" thing that most people on these sites do, and basically say that you wouldn't have anything to do with any woman that isn't at least a "solid 9"? I'm always amazed (and that's really no understatement... flabbergasted is a better word) at the people on these message boards that will get on here and downvote some chick that would be wayyyy out of their league. All the while, the same guys would happily go out with a 6-7 (on the 1 to 10 scale) any day of the week in real life. I remember sitting around with a couple of my friends about 15 years ago and rating pictures on "hotornot.com". The guy doing the rating was giving 99 percent of them "Not's". All the while, he was this 5'6" 130 lbs. shrimpy dude that couldn't get a girlfriend to save his life at the time. It's a really bizarre "Internet age" phenomenon that would make for quite a case study.

Errbody but me has a supermodel girlfriend, it seems.

My experience at HBCUs is that they inculcate this as Larry Elder would call it a "living behind enemy lines" mentality in their students to believe that Whites are out to get them, use and abuse them, etc. But, then it was my experience that a lot of the children of HBCU professors and administrators go to elite universities including Ivy league schools.

It isn't everyone or every HBCU but I definitely agree. And for the one's who subscribe to this any dissent is not tolerated.

You have made me way more intriqued by Thibodeaux's recruitment. I'll be interested to see which of his interest wins out in the end, hopefully Bama. Good info on Grambling too.

Hell no, I'm not gonna be one of those guys. I'm honest and a 3 or higher is my range. If liquor is involved then all bets are off I just love women and hate being tied down

Man I wish I was still single. Cobra, you would be the perfect wingman. We all need a Cobra in our crew.

Same here. 5s-7s are usually much more fun to be with than the 8s & up.

Tim Watts on Clay Webb:

Webb is super talented but his size dictates center and he doesn't want to play center according to a few people close to his recruitment.

Looks like Auburn is getting "Dabo'd" with Andrew Booth tomorrow.

Well, where does he want to play? Guard? How is that more glamorous than center?

I figured Booth would end up there even after the Barn had momentum. Clemson got their hooks in him early, and Dabo is an incredible closer. Tough to bet against him for someone they've been after so hard for so long.

The deal that I posted about Booth a few months ago is his sister. She's a track star. If any school would have been able (not sure if anyone has or not) to get his sister in on a track scholarship, they were supposedly going to have a very good chance at signing him. I'm not sure what became of that, as I haven't seen anything mentioned about that in a couple months.

I assume he wants to play Guard.

I wouldn't worry about that. If he proves he can excel at guard at the next level he can play it. I think Webb is about 6-3. For guard, 6-4 to 6-5 is more ideal, but 1" shy isn't too significant. Iirc, he doesn't play center in HS. He might be fine about playing center if he just gives himself a chance to get comfortable there. For a future in the NFL at 6-3, he's probably better off to make the move to center in college.

In his pictures, he looks a bit closer to 6'2". Not that that really matters for an interior lineman. It's plenty tall for someone with his power, quick feet, and technique.

Kight is 6-6.5 plus a lot of hair. Also, Webb isn't as close to the camera. So it's hard to compare.

He does look around 6'3" there. I've thought he looked a little shorter in other pics. What did he measure at The Opening?

Is Webb a better C prospect than Ekiyor ?

Seems like Ekiyor would be the ideal situation at C next year after learning the Offense for a year.

Ekiyor is a powerful player at 320-330.

Tyrique Stevenson got his 2nd and 3rd CB picks to UGA -- from a UGA mod and a Miami mod.

Andrew Booth has gotten 4 new CBs to Clemson since yesterday, including 2 from Auburn mods.

I’ll say this, UGA is our main competitor now. When they come out with a flurry of commitments, Saban and company would be wise to have a counter punch ready to go public. Seems they’re building steam heading into the season while we’re flat. I don’t like that. Need Hill or Sanders or both to go public soon and make a big spectacle of it. Recruiting is so much about momentum with these kids.
