Louisville mod CB’d Khris Bogle to Louisville. At this point Bogle is probably a back up plan to Thibodeaux. Although we’re not really hurting at OLB.
Yeah, I doubt Bama has room for or pushes for Bogle unless we miss on Thibo. Miami is also a legit contender for Bogle. Auburn may become one too, especially if Bogle's buddy Jalen Curry starts leaning toward Auburn.

Quotes from 2020 5-star RB Kendall Milton:
quote:
“I’ve been talking to Coach Lupoi the most,” Milton told BamaOnLine. “I can see how much they want me. He said they have me at the top of the running backs board for the class of 2020. He said with my great combination of size and speed that I can make a great impact on the program. That was music to my ears. I really liked what he was saying.”
Milton has a couple connections to Alabama, one of which is his coach, Matt Giordano, played with Lupoi at Cal.
“He told me that Coach Lupoi is one of those guys that’s an animal on the field,” Milton said. “He’s a nice guy off the field, but when he gets on the field he flips that switch and he’s a straight animal. That was one thing that Coach Giordano said about his game.”

247Sports Composite update: New 5-stars in Fla. and La.
quote:
There are two new five-star prospects in the 247Sports Composite rankings following the latest round of summer updates from the industry.
Although he isn’t yet rated as a five-star prospect by any one service, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy offensive lineman Evan Neal’s new composite ranking at No. 29 overall puts him in the 247Sports Composite five-star range.
At 360 pounds, the 6-foot-7.5 Neal is down 31 pounds from the 391 he weighed in at in February at Nike’s The Opening regional event in Miami. He shed that weight prior to competing in The Opening Finals earlier this month and performed and tested better with the lighter frame, including adding four inches to his vertical jump (22.7 to 26.6) and has an ultimate goal to be in the 325-pound range.
The Miami Hurricanes hold almost all of the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions for Neal, but Alabama remains in the battle for the one-time Tide commit and the latest prediction went in favor of the defending national champs.
Destrehan (La.) High running back John Emery Jr. also added a fifth star after moving up five spots to No. 31 overall. A recent run of Crystal Ball predictions for the home-state LSU Tigers have put them ahead of previous Crystal Ball favorite Mississippi State in the battle for Emery. He recently backed off a previous plan to announce his college choice in early July.

While five-star running back Trey Sanders was not allowed to speak the media, there was plenty of buzz around IMG Academy on Wednesday that indicated the 6-foot, 215-pound back is leaning towards Alabama. Sanders was previously committed to the Crimson Tide for over year before decommitting in January. Sanders planned visit Tuscaloosa this weekend, but with fall camp set to start soon, IMG Academy plans to keep their players home. Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Texas are also considered to be in the mix, but all appear to be chasing the Tide at this point.

Massive offensive tackle Evan Neal admitted that if his recruitment was up to his mother, he would already be committed to Miami. The Hurricanes look to be in excellent shape to land the talented 6-foot-7, 360-pound prospect. However, keep an eye on Alabama in this recruitment. Neal previously gave the Crimson Tide a short-lived commitment during his freshman year, and Bama is still program he thinks highly of. As it currently stands, the smart money appears to be one of those two programs — Miami or Alabama — to be the team Neal inks with in December. Florida State continues to linger in the mix, but the Seminoles look to have some ground to make up before they land the talented tackle.

Five-star edge rusher Nolan Smith has been committed to Georgia for well over a year. If any team can sway the electric 6-foot-3, 230-pound prospect from that pledge, it likely would be Alabama. Smith speaks highly of the Crimson Tide program and likes their tradition at the outside linebacker position. However, Smith says he only plans to use an official visit to Georgia at this time, which makes it appear he’s rather locked in with the Bulldogs. Clemson is the other team trying to flip Smith.

Massive offensive tackle Evan Neal admitted that if his recruitment was up to his mother, he would already be committed to Miami.
So, it appears it's not up to his mom, since he hasn't committed to Miami. She did influence him to back off his very early and very brief commitment to Bama and take his time, which was good advice that he agreed with. But Evan talks like it's ultimately his decision to make.
Neal: "She's on me about it. But like I say, it's a decision that I'm going to have to make. I'm going to take my time with it and not jump the gun on any decision." He said that an easier place to start as a freshman (Miami's pitch) doesn't matter to him, that he expects to work very hard to earn a starting job. He said he plans to take fall OVs, commit when he has decided, sign in December and enroll in January.

SEC's 20 highest-rated commits for 2019
quote:
Before you know it, Early Signing Day will be coming into focus for several of the nation's most prominent college football programs.
Elite-level SEC programs are already hard at work establishing a wealth of 2019 commits, highlighted by a Power 5-leading four teams ranked inside the top 10 heading into August.
Alabama saw its unprecedented streak of No. 1 signing hauls end in February, but the Crimson Tide are rapidly on their way to returning to the top spot with six more four-star Composite commits than any program nationally at the moment.
Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M and Georgia's Kirby Smart are nipping at Nick Saban's heels with impressive work thus far.
Here are the SEC's highest-rated commits in the 2019 class, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings:

20. ANTONIO ALFANO, SDE, COLONIA (COLONIA, NJ)
One of five defensive line commitments in Alabama's 2019 class, Alfano chose Alabama over Georgia and Penn State after he made a visit in April. “It was about accountability,” Alfano said of the topic of conversation with Saban, via BamaOnline. “I had a couple questions for him that I wanted a straight answer. I wanted to know if he was leaving or not and he said straight up, ‘I’m not going anywhere.’ He’s staying. (We talked about) Again how they want me there and how I can make an impact to the team.”
That should shut up the rival fan bases spewing this shite, but it won't.

16. AMARI KIGHT, OT, THOMPSON (ALABASTER, ALA.)
"Kight may have the highest upside of any of the Tide’s current offensive line commitments," says BamaOnline analyst Hank South. "The Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson product could project at either of the tackle spots with both his pass protection and run blocking prowess."

11. PIERCE QUICK, OT, HEWITT-TRUSSVILLE (TRUSSVILLE, ALA.)
"Quick is a punch-you-in-the-mouth, gritty, physical offensive lineman that could project at guard in Tuscaloosa," says BamaOnline analyst Hank South. "The traits are there to develop into yet another elite Tide offensive lineman."
