Webb is a great prospect; they just hyped him a little with the "he is unbeatable" stuff.

He keeps a good base, bulls his neck and sits with great knee bend. He as moved well laterally.

I don't know why we have guys who can't take it and get their feelings hurt if koolaid isn't pumped out in each post.

Very 7SU like...

Anyways, somebody wake TideSaint up. I don't see animal porn or twerking so I don't know if Byron Young is actually official

LINK ]Crimson Tide lands midnight commitment from 4-star DE Byron Young (BamaOnLine)

quote:

Alabama landed a commitment early Wednesday morning from 4-star defensive lineman Byron Young.

At midnight, the nation's No. 9-ranked strong-side defensive end and No. 9 player in the state of Mississippi, according to the 247Sports Composite, announced his decision via Twitter.

Last season at West Jones (Miss.) High School, Young registered 50 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 14 sacks and four forced fumbles.

Back in May, the country's No. 121 prospect told BamaOnLine's Hank South that Alabama was his leader, and if that day were National Signing Day, the Crimson Tide would be his pick. Fast-forward nearly two months and the 6-foot-4, 279-pound defensive end made it a reality at midnight.

“I’ve been hearing a lot from them,” Young told BamaOnLine in May. "They’re just telling me how great Alabama is and telling me I’ve got a chance to come in and play right away because they’re losing so many people” Young said of the message from the UA staff.

“They didn’t bring in many defensive ends. They want me to play end, which is where I’m most comfortable. It’s great. It makes me feel like they really want me just constantly hearing from them. Just the winning attitude. They’re always winning. Everybody has the mindset to win at everything they do.”

Young is the Tide's 18th commitment in the 2019 recruiting cycle -- one where it boasts the No. 1 class by a wide margin. His primary recruiter was first-year inside linebackers coach Pete Golding, who took to Twitter to share his excitement following the late-night, early-morning pledge.

Young is the sixth defensive lineman to commit to Alabama during the 2019 cycle, joining Antonio Alfano, Kevin Harris, Justin Eboigbe, Rashad Cheney and DJ Dale. But with seven months until NSD, the Tide remains in the mix for more of the nation's top defensive line recruits.

I can't watch those.

I will say my return from the desert two years ago was way less dramatic.

Yep. Heading up there to drop him off on Sunday.

I will also say that by this time next week my diet will include copious amounts of bulgogi and kimchee. Again.

Watch the video. They show at least four reps with Webb getting thrown down to the ground on two of them.

Man you guys get mad quick when someone isn't group thinking lol.

BTW, that doesn't mean these guys won't be great.

To be fair to Webb, up until last weekend at the Rivals' Challenge he WAS unbeatable. He's had a rough two weeks.

Speaking of Byron Young, our Cajun friends thought they had a shot at him. Here's a couple threads from the LSURb that are fun reads:

Before committing to Alabama

After committing to Alabama

I can't wait to see the difference in opinions on Young's game between the two threads.

So we're all in agreement that Young just pushed Cheney out of this class, right?

I think at worst Cheney gets offered a gray shirt. He’s a solid player in his own right and I think we end up signing 28-29 this year counting a couple of gray shirts.

Cheney is also from a very talent rich area in ATL...don’t think we want to close the door there by causing a stink.

Maybe, but insiders are all saying Cheney won't be in Alabama's signing class. And with the DL talent Bama is landing since he committed, he's probably worried about getting playing time.

I decide to sleep in and this is what happens. Recruiting never stops. Happy Fourth

Has there been one accurate prediction of both when and who will commit outside of a couple of boys from Alabama early in the cycle. I am going to put all the prospects names in a hat and anytime someone new is expected to announce I'm going to pull a different name and move them to commit watch. I might turn out be more accurate.

Looks like we got a Kyrie Irving in here. "You group thinking son, the earth is flat. It the rest of you that refuse to see the evidence right in front of your face." Keep your truth my dude.
