I bet Ward jammed dudes at the line the entire day and Saban had a huge boner over it.

We only have 12 initial counter spots left. Who are your 12 wants/takes to finish out the class?

Hey Tidal, what is your twelve currently. Mine are:

Thibodeaux
D. Wright
Sospher
T. Sanders
Webb
D. Hill
Tuitele
Dean
D. Lee
Hellams
Christian Harris
B. Young

And maybe squeeze in anyone of (M. Wright, Bell, Handy, Diabate, Stevenson, Dent or Booth)

Honestly it is an absurd wishlist, it includes 9 5* with Kight and Alfano likely to get a fifth star (330.01 on the calculator).

It made me think of a potential worst case scenerio that looked like:

Webb
Tuitele
D. Lee
J. McCollough
Christian Harris
B. Young
Diabate
Siaka Ika
Metchie
Pola-Gates
K. Robinson
K.Bell

That is still a 306.23 on the calculator. That's a recruiting class 98% of college football would kill for and we would have to miss like crazy to get there.

My Top-12 Takes:
5* RB Trey Sanders
4* WR/S Milton Wright
5* OC Clay Webb
5* OT Darnell Wright
5* DT Faatui Tuitele
5* DT Ishmael Sopsher
4* DE Nathan Pickering
5* ILB Nakobe Dean
4* ILB Christian Harris
5* OLB Kayvon Thibodeaux
4* S/WR Devonta Lee
5* S/CB Daxton Hill

BB scholly: 4* RB Jerrion Ealy
BS or GS: 3* OG Kamaar Bell
PWO: Juco LB Umstead Sanders
Fav other DEs: 5* Chris Hinton, 4* DeMarvin Leal
Fav other LB: 4* Mohamoud Diabate
Fav other DB: 5* CB Andrew Booth

Note: Our chances of landing those 12 are pretty good and imo those 12 make good sense for our 2019 priorty needs. We can afford to wait until 2020 for TE & 2nd RB. Milton Wright is 6-3/195, very fast and athletic (underrated, imo). Brandon Turnage is very good at WR and S/CB. Take 1 of Young, Handy or Moore if we miss on Pickering and can't flip Hinton or Leal.

Hank put in a CB for Trey Sanders to Bama. He also said he's heard form multiple sources Bama may be trying to get his Brother enrolled(not sure if it would be scholarship or walk on) and if that happens it would pretty much be a done deal.

frick it, let's just put his brother and Sopsher's brother on scholarship and call it a day. They can room together.

Which 2 of the following 3-4 year players (and their spots) should we drop to give scholarships to Trey's and Ishmael's juco brothers?

5* RB Trey Sanders
4* WR/S Milton Wright
5* OC Clay Webb
5* OT Darnell Wright
5* DT Faatui Tuitele
5* DT Ishmael Sopsher
4* DE Nathan Pickering
5* ILB Nakobe Dean
4* ILB Christian Harris
5* OLB Kayvon Thibodeaux
4* S/WR Devonta Lee
5* S/CB Daxton Hill

The correct answer: (c) None of the above; give preferred walk-on offers to the brothers instead.

I was being flip with the comments about the brothers, but to be fair to you, I would totally agree with you if we land everyone on your list that one would never consider taking one of the brothers over a listed player.

Once again, I was being flip, but to play devil's advocate: (1) I would be very pleasantly surprised if we landed everyone on your list; and (2) Although I doubted it would turn out this way, I would now happily take two brothers in the 2018 class to add two top 10 players to the 2018 class at positions of need.

Yeah, I know your post was somewhat tongue-in-cheek. But the "(and their spots)" part of my post was key. If we give two scholarships and the two initial counter spots that go with them to the two brothers, we'll only be able to add 10 more signees (instead of 12) in the 2019 class. Trey's brother would take the last unused 2018 IC spot and Ish's brother would take one of 2019's 25 IC spots. I highly doubt Saban offers a scholarship to either of the brothers.

I don't disagree. I doubt Saban would offer either brother a scholarship but honestly (especially after striking out last year more than we're used to and needing a stud DT and RB in this class) I wouldn't hate it if he did.

Nevertheless, I appreciate all the information you bring to the board brother. You help make my day (and countless others) slightly less painful.

ETA: On 2nd thought, with how thin we are at ILB and the potential suspensions of a couple of our young ILBs, if Umstead took a pwo offer, enrolled and did well in fall camp he might end up with a scholarship by fall. If he did well enough in camp this week they might even offer him one now.

Pierce Quick, DJ Dale, Kamaar Bell & Eric Gray all did "great" at camp yesterday.
