Yeah, I just spotted that and came to post it. He got 1 for Miami from a Clemson mod a few days ago. He just picked up 4 more, from 2 Miami mods, 1 AU mod and 1 UF mod. Andrew Ivins (main 247 Miami guy) put his in and the others followed within a few minutes. Ivins: ". . . after checking with a number of different sources I believe the Hurricanes will likely be the pick."

Have to think after what the Pats did this weekend, Cyrus probably doesn't make it out of the preseason with them.

Drafting 2 slot corners and a return man in Braxton Berrios kinda says they are moving forward.

They coveted his return abilities when they took him, yet he shite the bed in almost every opportunity his rookie year...

I know it is talk radio so there is a lot of hyperbolic talk, but generally speaking Cyrus Jones is loathed in New England. Fans want him nowhere near the field next year and the play by play guy really dislikes him.

Eddie Jackson falling to the 4th round all because of the injury was mystifying. Amazing that someone could watch him for years and not think he would be a really good pro. And now he's looking like one of the best young players in the league. And he would have put up good testing numbers. Such a smooth athlete.

FWIW, our staff thinks Eddie Smith is basically another Eddie Jackson. Devonta Smith is one of the best all-around athletes Bama has had under Saban, and could easily be one of the better DBs in the country if they ever had to play him there (he'll stick at WR). They think Surtain is basically a clone of Minkah (yeah, they're telling every recruit that now, as they should) and might have a shot to start at Nickel. Have also heard that McKinney might be even better than Deionte Thompson.

I'm excited to see the new secondary!

Like I posted a week ago. TI fairly confident he picks Miami. BUT that he (and many others in Ga) thinks he'll eventually sign with either Bama or UGa. UGa supposedly more in the picture than people realize, even though not listed as a finalist. If they (or Bama) push really hard this Fall, look out.

I am excited about the new secondary, I'm excited about the D-Line working with coach Kool, I'm excited about the outside LBs being healthy, I'm excited about Mack and Moses together in the middle. We say this almost every year but this could be the most athletic defense we have had at Bama. There is a ton of talent and athleticism in the secondary, they will be dynamic if they understand the D.

Yeah I saw the stuff on Harris, but I was hoping his interest in Miami would be more fleeting. Oh well there is plenty of time until signing day.

I can't help but think he must be sharp as a whip if Saban thinks he can credibly learn enough of the defense to serve in even just an emergency role. That has to help him so much with leverage in route running, pre-snap reads, and everything else. Extremely excited to see him this year.

Per a UGA insider, Kevin Harris is a "B" level on their board. Miami runs a 4-3 D-front. Bama is recruiting Harris at "Jack" OLB (hybrid DE/OLB). Tosh might like him at the Sam OLB (true OLB) spot too. With his 6-4/218 size, 4.5 speed and athleticism, he's a natural fit for what Bama is recruiting him at -- much better fit than 4-3 DE. He'd have to add a lot more bulk for 4-3 DE. Imo, he'd be making a big mistake choosing Miami.

Regardless of where Harris goes, it would be nice if we could get Kight and Dale to go ahead and pull the trigger. What’s the hold up with those two in state guys?

Great question. I've been expecting Amari Kight, DJ Dale and Will Reichard commitments since last weekend.

Where are our insiders in Pinson, Alabaster and Hoover? I know some of y'all have family and friends in those cities. We need a scoop. Maybe DJ is stuck outside the Waffle House in Pinson. (J/K)

Uga likes Harris, but wanted him to hold off.So tthat's probably rightaabout him being on the B list.

Kirby has done a solid job with a loaded roster so far. And obviously last year's class is fantastic on paper. I still personally don't have any faith in him as a talent evaluator, though. Good coach and recruiter. But not a very good talent evaluator. That being said, though, if you sign classes like last year's that are THAT highly rated, I guess evaluations aren't quite as big of a deal.

Let's put it this way.

Pruitt and Mullen are both very good talent evaluators. IMO, if Kirby is signing classes that rank on average between #1-3 every year, then Pruitt and Mullen can keep the talent gap close enough if they can sign classes that average around #8-10 every year.

What is Mullen's overall reputation as a recruiter? I'm thinking he will be major thorn in the east at Florida if he is an average recruiter considering Muschamp and McElwain were able to win the east and I believe he is a way better coach than those two. If he can get Florida anywhere near their optimum recruiting potential he will be dangerous. Any blue chip recruiters on his staff?

Not a very good recruiter in terms of landing highly ranked guys. But a good eye for talent. And obviously really good at developing QBs and coaching an offense. Seems like he hired some good recruiters at UF based on what people have said (although I admit that I haven't looked at their staff much). If those recruiters do their jobs, I'd be shocked if he doesn't win there.

He knows what he needs to run his offense, like those monster sized blockers he calls receivers.
