Bogle may not necessarily be a need but he is definitely a want. He is already elite but when he is 260 pounds or so two years from now he is going to be a monster.

Bogle is in Hawaii
During his commitment at the all star game he seems to indicate how tight he was with Lia and Sanders.
The fact that he out there with them says he may be committed more than most think.
They may be still recruiting him to stay apart of there class..!

Yep, but 240 is actually big enough.
Eta: Bogle is about 6-3.5/215 now and very strong for his weight.

Top Performers, Alpha Dog from Day 3 at Polynesian Bowl (247 | embedded video)
Hellams and other Bama signees are recruiting Tide commit Khris Bogle while in Hawaii:

HONOLULU – An Alabama signee from out East turned in the top performance on the third practice Wednesday at the Polynesian Bowl, while a couple in-state prospects continued to impress.
Alpha Dog: DB DeMarcco Hellams
The Alabama signee has had a great week, making the top performers list on Day One then on a day where the players weren’t in pads, still practiced with intensity and purpose. In team, he had two pass breakups and his closing speed seems to be on another level compared to the other DBs on Team Mauka. In the WR/DB Challenge, he covered the speedy Giles Jackson stride for stride on a pass downfield and jarred the ball loose (it was still ruled a completion) then the next play, locked Jackson up entirely to the delight of the rest of the DBs.

The next step the program needs to take is evaluating what we did with play weights this year and what needs to be changed. As we discussed in the coaching thread, either several players overate or we put to much weight on some players that hindered them at times.

You don't think our staff can accurately access how much these guys should weigh? Maybe you're right but I don't think so. I think our guys had enough speed and athleticism. They were also more successful than they are getting credit for.

It's just my opinion, but I believe we've put too much weight on some guys.

Davis gained about 15 lbs and it killed his explosiveness. Some players can carry the extra, some can’t. Davis can’t and needs to lean back down. I’m not sure what Mathis weighs, but he seemed to lack explosiveness as well. Would love to see him shed some weight to see what it does for his game. Same for Ray. Dude needs to drop about 10 lbs.

I'll always believe that we put too much weight on Miller.

Disagree in Miller. He had a monster year this year. And I saw a pic of him recently in the weight room with his shirt off and the guy is super lean. All they did was pack muscle on him and it payed off with his best year yet. Our DL added BAD weight in the offseason, and that’s the difference IMO.

How to watch Alabama QB signee Taulia Tagovailoa, 4 others in tonight’s Polynesian Bowl (al.com | embedded tweets, videos)
quote:
The 2019 Polynesian Bowl -- the final major high school all-star game for Class of 2019 prospects -- kicks off tonight at 11 p.m. Central.
The game, set for Aloha Stadium, will be televised by CBS Sports Network. Kickoff is 7 p.m., Hawaii time and 11 p.m. central in Alabama.
The game features five future Alabama players, led by quarterback signee Taulia Tagovailoa, the Thompson quarterback and Hawaii native who was named the Polyensian Bowl Co-High School Player of the Year last night with Southern Cal commit Puka Nacua.
The other future Alabama players in the game are running back signee Trey Sanders, tight end signee Jahleel Billingsley, defensive back signee Demarrco Hellams and defensive end commit Khris Bogle.

Here's a look a three storylines to follow in tonight's game:
1) How is Taulia’s shoulder?
Tagovailoa threw for just 44 yards in the 52-7 loss to Central-Phenix City in the AHSAA Class 7A championship game in early December, a week after suffering a shoulder injury in the semifinal victory over Hoover. He didn't play in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic about 10 days later because of the injury.
Online reports have suggested he's looked good in this week's Polynesian Bowl practices, so it will be interesting to see how much he plays and how powerful his arm looks.

@tauliaa12 talked with @Myckena_G earlier today about being back in Hawaii for the @polynesiabowl, his high school career and how excited he is to ball at Alabama.

2) Which other future Alabama players will shine?
Sanders flashed big-play ability during his high school career at IMG Academy (Fla.), as did Hellams.
Bogle also reportedly looked fast and aggressive during practice sessions, and Alabama fans will definitely be interested in his ability to get to the quarterback.
Why no love for Billingsley?

3) What about Alabama’s other HS QB in the game?
Central-Phenix City quarterback Peter Parrish -- the LSU signee who beat Tagovailoa in the 7A title game -- is also playing in the game. He's again on the opposite sideline from Tagovailoa tonight.
In addition, Parrish is playing alongside future LSU receiver Marcel Brooks, and the week in Hawaii likely allowed them to develop on-field chemistry.
4) What about other Alabama targets?
Two major Alabama defensive targets -- uncommitted linebacker Henry To’oto’o and uncommitted defensive lineman Ishmael Sopsher, the nation's No. 1-ranked defensive tackle -- are also playing in the game.
Alabama fans will want to see how they perform and if they give any indication that they prefer the Crimson Tide.
5) Who’s committing tonight?
Three players are scheduled to make in-game commitments during the CBS Sports Network broadcast -- 4-star defensive back Noa Pola-Gates, 4-star defensive tackle D'Von Ellies and 3-star lineman Logan Sagapolu.
Pola-Gates is choosing between Nebraska, Southern Cal and Arizona State, Ellies is picking between Penn State and Southern Cal, and Skyridge is picking from the threesome of BYU, Oregon and Utah.
Notes: Another Tide target, ILB Daniel Heimuli, is also playing. Ishmael Sopsher may not play due to a shoulder injury in the Under Armour game.

I’ll also add that several of our OL really need to shed some bad weight this offseason as well. I also believe some of our ILBs have been playing too light and therefore get mauled by bigger OL. Gotta strike a perfect balance of size/speed. Cochran is the best but I believe he missed the mark this pst year on several key players.

Miller is listed as 6'4 244lbs. I know that it's all muscle and they bulked him up to set the edge, but I think he would have been healthier and more explosive playing around 230. I'm not a doctor so I'm just giving an uneducated opinion

Watching Bama's 2nd team OL play was this year showed either they have no talent or they're lacking a coach.
The effort by #79 on the fake FG was pathetic. To think a guy would go through all the training practice and get a chance to go into the game for one F play and then you shite the bed like he did.
