Have you seen Latu? No way he could play mlb IMO. I think he grows into a DE.

Eyabi Anoma loves the competition at Alabama, the fact the Crimson Tide are regulars in the college football playoff and coach Nick Saban's ability to develop talent for the NFL.
However, the reason the five-star defensive end from Baltimore St. Frances chose the Crimson Tide in the end was the season reason so many other players chose their schools.
"Alabama was recruiting me harder," said Anoma, the No. 2 weak side defensive end and No. 7 overall prospect in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. "I just had a great relationship with (assistant) coach Tosh (Lupoi), coach Saban and (assistant) coach (Mike) Locksley.
"Coach Locksley is like a parent figure for me away from home and he's caring. I know away from Baltimore I will be ok. He's a native of here."
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Anoma chose Alabama over Maryland and Michigan.
"It was hard," Anoma said. "I just visited Maryland and I was thinking about Maryland. Also, I had a good relationship with Michigan. Alabama, it was the same."
He said he will sign his binding national letter of intent this afternoon.
"It's the Saban era," Anoma said. "It proves time and time again they produce top-notch athletes that produce at the next level."
During the last 11 months, Anoma visited Alabama handful of times. His latest visit was an official less than two weeks ago, and it solidified his decision.
One of the big draws to Alabama is the level of competition, including the desire to compete daily in the weight room and on the practice field.
"It means I can push my body to the limits and test my weaknesses," he said. "It will show me what I need to work on so I can get better."

Oh Lawd. Some dude on BOL posted an "update" on Brenton Cox:
I debated bringing this here because I have serious doubt it is true, but I figured what the hell.

Heading into the last hour, it was believed the momentum had swung hugely in favor of the Tide. A lot of nervousness amongst the UGA insiders, saying Kirby Smart has been "in and out" of practice early this afternoon.. Expect contact with UGA in the last hour, decision will come down to the wire. He hasn't made a decision, to this point. Stay tuned..

No three hats. No T-shirt or football glove unveiling.
Slade Bolden has knew for months where he was heading to play college football and Wednesday was just a formality. In front a full room of family, friends, teammates and coaches, the West Monroe star senior quarterback officially signed his national letter-of-intent to play at Alabama.
He'll graduate early at the end of this week and will enroll and report to Tuscaloosa in January in time for the spring semester to start and will be able to participate in spring practice with the Crimson Tide.
"It's a sigh of relief," Bolden told reporters after his signing ceremony at West Monroe's athletic field house. "This is what I've worked for my whole life. All the time and effort spent into this sport, just knowing that I'm able to go to school without having to pay for anything and also continue to play the gave that I love. It's a great feeling, it's a great relief and I'm very blessed to be here."
Bolden, who gave his verbal commitment to Alabama head coach Nick Saban and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll Aug. 3 choosing the Tide over instate power LSU and TCU, took advantage of the first NCAA early signing period that runs from Dec. 20-22, a new rule the governing body passed back in May.
"You don't have to worry about it. I know schools that we're signing to, they don't have to worry about flipping somewhere," he said. "I was 100 percent anyways, so there was no flipping anytime soon. I'm just thankful to get it out of the way."
Bolden finished out his prep career with the Rebels strong, helping lead his team to the LHSAA Class 5A state semifinals and earning the Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year award and the 2017 District 2-5A Offensive MVP honors.
The quarterback amassed 3,082 yards of total offense and 40 total touchdowns, scoring 20 both passing and rushing, tying the school record. Bolden, who has played since his freshman season and did not miss one of 55 games he played in, set the new program career touchdown mark with 115.
Bolden is expected to line up at the slot receiver position in Alabama's offense, a position he's garnered some experience playing the last four years at West Monroe. He played receiver during the second half of the semifinal game versus Zachary. But signing early and having the opportunity to go through spring drills in Tuscaloosa, the athlete hopes to use that time to put himself in position to contribute right away for the Tide.
"I'm just ready to get down there, get to work and improve on everything in my skill set. Hopefully, I can contribute as much as I can to the team and that's all I'm ready for."

An "insider" on BOL mentioned Miller's honeymoon with Auburn may have run it's course this past weekend. If he doesn't sign I guess there may be some truth to it.

I dont know if the Hat means much but ours is a nice flat bill and UGA is a crappy visor... But he could have the nice UGA hat under the table.

From watching these announcements the last few years... the flat bill is usually a good sign
The paw-paw hats usually don't fare well, but the visor could be because Kirby wears one.

quote:Moses is listed on recruiting sites as 6'3. Latu could be anywhere from 6'3 to 6'5. And height is less important than weight. If he were to change position they would not bulk him up as much. I'm just saying, we have a shite ton of olb recruits the last 2 classes, someone is going to move inside, and it's not going to be anoma or Davis or parks, who's already too big
He is 6'5. Moses may be 6'2.
