Welcome to SEC Country’s daily Roll Tide-ings, a rundown of everything happening in Alabama Crimson Tide recruiting with Chris Kirschner. Today, we talk the latest with one of Alabama’s top defensive back targets.

Nadab Joseph set to commit on Monday now
Nadab Joseph, a 4-star cornerback from Miami (Fla.) Norland High School, announced at 5:54 p.m. ET on Thursday that he was going to release big news at 7:30 p.m. ET. That big news was going to be a commitment to either Alabama, Georgia or LSU.
An hour later, the plan changed to Joseph announcing that he was going to make his commitment this Monday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
So, how did he go from planning to commit on Thursday to pushing it off until Monday?
SEC Country was told that Georgia has been trying to get Joseph to visit Athens before making his commitment. He’ll do that this weekend. Joseph will be at UGA for the Bulldogs’ game against Kentucky. That means Georgia will get the last visit before Joseph announces his decision.
A lot of the times in recruiting that last visit is important because recruits are easily wowed by the last thing they see. I don’t think this will be the case with Joseph when he releases his decision on Monday.
Joseph de-committed from LSU in August. That didn’t come as a surprise. What did come as a surprise was him just not flipping to Alabama. The Crimson Tide were trending for two months prior to him reopening his recruitment.
I don’t think much has changed since then. Joseph visited Tuscaloosa for the LSU game. That trip was said to have gone great for the nation’s No. 21 cornerback. Sources close to the Alabama program remain confident that Joseph will still choose the Tide on Monday despite visiting one of his finalists this weekend.
My prediction also is Alabama. I’d be shocked if he ended up choosing Georgia after this visit.
Outside of Joseph, the Tide are in good shape to land several other corners such as 5-star prospect Tyson Campbell, 4-star Miami commit Josh Jobe and 4-star junior college prospect Saivion Smith. Alabama also has a commitment from 4-star corner Jalyn Armour-Davis.

Another interesting offer out for Alabama
John Bolding, a 2-star offensive guard from Klein Oak High School (Spring, Texas), reported an offer from Alabama on Thursday. Bolding is currently committed to Florida International.
This offer is interesting because of who Bolding’s brother is. Bolding is the younger brother of the nation’s No. 3 junior college defensive tackle, Tayland Humphrey. Humphrey and Bolding want to play for the same school next season. Humphrey, who’s currently at Hutchinson Community College (Kansas), received an offer from the Tide back in April. Alabama did have some interest in Humphrey back in the spring.
Since then, Alabama has missed on two major DT targets in 4-star prospects Bobby Brown, who committed to Texas A&M, and Coynis Miller, who committed to Auburn.
It’s an extremely thin year at defensive tackle in the 2018 class. But, right now, Humphrey is still just considered a backup plan. This offer to Bolding is likely just Alabama making sure it has a plan in place if a disaster happens and the team continues to miss on several options. Right now, the top 2 defensive tackle targets to know are:
• Christian Barmore, a 4-star defensive tackle from Neumann Goretti High School (Philadelphia), is a name to know. Alabama is expected to bring him in for an official visit after the season.
• Tyler Friday, a 4-star defensive tackle from Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.), has started to receive lots of attention from Alabama. The Tide are hoping to bring him to campus for an official visit next month. He announced a top 5 of Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and UCLA earlier this month. That can always change.
The team also has a commitment from 4-star prospect Stephon Wynn.

I'm at the game. It's not that close.
ETA 20-0 now. Only 13 min into the game.

How does Paul Tyson look?

He spent the whole first quarter on the turf. Made one fantastic pass, didn't have too many other opportunities. I think he was sacked 4 times.

Jaylen Waddle played his final high school game last Saturday night, and despite all of his big plays, Episcopal fell to Kinkaid, 38-21. Waddle opened things up early for his offense, scoring on a 93-yard touchdown run with his first touch, but recruiting was the furthest thing from his mind after the game. Later in the week, he opened up a bit about his recent official visit to Alabama and what’s to come in his recruitment via messaging through Twitter.
“Overall it was great, but I’ve been up there a lot and so it was hard for them to show me [something new],” he said. “I got to hang out with my position coach and he really tried to impress with me with the atmosphere of the town.”
Waddle also recently set up an official visit to Oregon for the end of the month. That leaves him with one last official visit to take, which as expected, he said would come down to Texas or Texas A&M. He wasn’t interested in dropping any hints about upcoming events, either, saying that he hasn’t eliminated anyone and still isn’t close to choosing a commitment date.
Waddle had been in Oregon in the summer and has been one of the Ducks’ biggest targets. Offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo stayed through Waddle’s entire game on Saturday, and will hope he can make a strong case when the Rivals100 wide receiver makes his return to the Pacific Northwest.
“I’m not looking for anything special,” Waddle said. “I just think they’re going to try and show me a good time.”

Thompson scored 28 unanswered points in the second half to beat Mountain Brook. Sets up another game with Hoover in the semifinals next week. So it's Hoover-Thompson and McGill-Phenix City in 7A.

Hoover won 56-21.
Tyson throws some nice passes. Hits receivers in stride. Hewitt brought in a guy from Arkansas a few years ago to run Gus Malzahn's offense. Tonight that offense looked like Malzahn against Clemson last year. Tyson was sacked more than Brodie.
Pierce Quick held up his end of the line for the most part.
Hoover is dominant on both sides of the ball. How many D1 prospects do they have?
