Miami must be signing 50 kids this class. Don't take this the wrong way, but I believe you are full of shite.
I mean we have like 19 commits currently, and will bring in about 6 more, with a little wiggle room if we want to also bring in another WR/OL or something.
But I think we finish with:
QB - Jarren Williams. He's our top target. Decommitted to Kentucky during his OV during ND game. Between us, Auburn, and tOSU.
DT - Dennis Briggs. Briggs is our top target. We're also in Friday's top 5, though I don't expect him. Seems like he only put UCLA and Miami in his top 5 so he can have a fun OV. But we are also recruiting a couple JUCO Dt's.
DE - Andrew Chatfield. American Heritage DE we FINALLY offered.
LB - Nick Bonnito and James Miller. Our top LB target is Patrick Joyner, but I do NOT think we flip him from FSU
CB - Tyson Campbell. And we're not losing any of our other guys.

Eyabi Anoma snippet:
quote:
During St. Frances’ playoff win on Sunday, Anoma wore his Alabama football gloves. Which could suggest the Tide are his leader, right? Well, Anoma says that’s not the case.
“I’m just stay real subtle,” Anoma said on listing a leader. “Alabama’s last trip was an unofficial, it wasn’t an official. So I still have five officials, a lot of schools. I’m going to wait down to the last second, family and friends are going ot be involved in my decision. I’ll probably come up with my decision after these next few games.”
Besides Michigan, Anoma says he plans to visit UCLA coming up. However, with three visits already to Alabama, he says another return trip to ‘Bama may not be in the cards.
“I don’t know about Alabama, I’ve already been down there already,” Anoma said.

Matt Corral will visit Alabama this weekend
SEC Country reported on Wednesday that 4-star Florida quarterback commit Matt Corral would “possibly” visit Alabama this weekend for an official visit. According to a source close to the program, Corral will visit Tuscaloosa. Corral has a playoff game Friday at 10 p.m. ET against Mater Dei. He is expected to arrive in Tuscaloosa at 10 a.m. ET on Saturday. Alabama’s game against Mercer kicks off at noon ET.
This will be Corral’s first visit to any program other than Florida since committing to the Gators during the summer.
Before he chose Florida, Corral had a top 3 of Alabama, Florida and Georgia. The Bulldogs received a commitment from the nation’s No. 1 overall recruit in 5-star quarterback Justin Fields, and the Tide remain without a quarterback in the 2018 class.
We were told that communication between the Alabama staff and Corral continued after his commitment to Florida, but it was never anything serious where the Tide were pushing for a flip. Talks between the two parties only increased after Florida decided to part ways with coach Jim McElwain.
Despite the ramped up communication with Corral, Alabama is still waiting to see what 4-star Ohio State quarterback commit Emory Jones does. He remains the priority target. Corral doesn’t have a spot in the Tide’s class until Jones makes up his mind on whether he wants to flip from the Buckeyes.
And, to be clear, Alabama hasn’t given Jones an ultimatum on when he has to let the coaching staff know if he wants to commit or not. The Tide are going to wait for Jones to make his decision before deciding on a backup option.
As of last check, Jones was on track to graduate high school early and enroll at the college of his choice in January. With the early signing period starting on Dec. 20 and lasting through Dec. 22, we should know what Jones plans to do in the coming weeks.
He's going to play a game, catch a flight and be in Tuscaloosa in less than 12 hours from California?
Someone please get me this kid's travel agent.

Intriguing name to know
Alabama has its eyes on several defensive linemen in the Class of 2018, and there’s another player who fans should follow.
Casey Rogers, a 3-star defensive end from Avon (Conn.) Old Farms, has scheduled an official visit to Tuscaloosa for the weekend of Dec. 15. Rogers doesn’t have an offer from the Crimson Tide yet, but he was in Tuscaloosa for camp this past summer where he worked out as a defensive end, outside linebacker and tight end.
Rogers is an intriguing prospect because he was originally committed to play lacrosse at Syracuse, where his dad is an assistant coach on the staff. But Rogers decided to focus on football and reclassified from a 2017 prospect to a 2018 prospect in order to get more time to develop on the football field.
He’s already fully qualified and can enroll at his college of choice in January or this summer. He hasn’t decided when he will enroll likely because he’s waiting to see which schools offer him a scholarship.
Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll visited Rogers’ school during the Tide’s bye week, and Alabama has remained in touch since then.
He should be pretty athletic if he got a scholarship from Syracuse in Lacrosse, unless he was the goalie of course.

Other defensive line targets to know include:
• Christian Barmore, a 4-star defensive tackle from Neumann Goretti High School (Philadelphia), is a name to know. Alabama is expected to bring him in for an official visit after the season.
• Tyler Friday, a 4-star defensive tackle from Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.), has started to receive lots of attention from Alabama. The Tide are hoping to bring him to campus for an official visit next month. He announced a top 5 of Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and UCLA earlier this month. That can always change.
• Caleb Tremblay, a 4-star junior college defensive tackle from American River Community College (Sacramento, Calif.), is expected to take an official visit to Alabama next month.
• Mike Williams, a 3-star prospect from Louisiana, was in Tuscaloosa for the LSU game. Alabama has started to recruit him strongly.
• Andres Fox, a 3-star defensive end from Mobile (Ala.), is a major target for the Tide. I expect him to choose Alabama when he commits.
The Tide also have a commitment from 4-star prospect Stephon Wynn.

So we like Emory Jones better than Matt Corral?

Yep they do, but I'm sure they will gladly take Corral.

That's not good. We need Eyabi Anoma
I don't even understand what could have changed to make him reluctant to come down for an OV.

Paid his way to Bama 3 times, why the need to go for an OV?
He's taking one to UCLA, that's all you need to know about how he'll use his OVs.

Well yeah that plays well for us. The fact he has consistently stated he wants to work for it and likes competition does as well.
If he's made his mind up... which is a possibility; we're good. If he still thinking, not so much.

Lol the aubs are cracking me up. They invaded this thread this morning on the rant I made about Christian Miller and just freaked themselves out from banking on us not getting anyone back. Now they’re on their board guaranteeing a win now because we supposedly got all our confidence back. It’s funny because any amount of confidence that we state, it’s overconfidence, but no matter what they can state they’re gonna whip the dog shite out of us and claim to be the underdog.

Alabama Football: Christian Miller to return for Auburn game
In the Alabama football season opener against Florida State, Christian Miller tore a biceps muscle. The injury required surgery and it was announced he would be out for the season. Recent rumors have suggested Miller’s recovery has been more rapid than expected. Miller has been hinting at a return in tweets for the last couple of weeks.
On Wednesday, Nick Saban said Miller and fellow linebacker, Terrell Lewis were in the “functional phase of rehab” but had not yet been cleared medically.
Thursday morning Matt Zenitz of al.com reported,
Barring a setback, Christian Miller is expected to be able to play against Auburn next week, according to sources. Terrell Lewis is on track to return soon as well, though the SEC championship game — if the Crimson Tide should make it there — is probably the more realistic target date for Lewis, per sources.
Christian Miller and Terrell Lewis are both outside linebackers. Going into the 2017 season, Miller was expected to be the Tide’s most productive outside rusher, as a replacement for NFL-bound Tim Williams.
Alabama football has lost four key linebackers to injury this season in Miller, Lewis, Shaun Dion Hamilton and Mack Wilson. The more recent injuries to Hamilton and Wilson have depleted the roster at inside linebacker.
Against Mississippi State, Keith Holcombe and true freshman Dylan Moses joined Rashaan Evans at inside linebacker. Holcombe and Moses did not perform well in their expanded roles. Based on practice reports this week, it appears Moses will get more snaps against Mercer than Holcombe, playing in both the Nickel and Dime defensive units.
Miller on ‘Pitch-Count’
Assuming Christian Miller can practice next week and assuming his conditioning is game-ready, having him on the outside against Auburn would strengthen the Tide defense. Even if both assumptions prove positive, it is likely Miller will be on what Nick Saban likes to call a ‘pitch-count’ limiting his playing time.
After a long break from injury, few players can get back to full game conditioning in less than two or three games. Even if Miller’s ‘pitch-count’ is limited against the Tigers, having him available situationally aids the Tide and forces Auburn to prepare for his involvement.
Based on tweets and message boards, it appears Miller, Lewis (torn elbow ligament) and Mack Wilson (broken foot) are not interested in medical redshirt options. There is no solid information that Lewis or Wilson can return for the Auburn game but the SEC Championship game is a possibility.Nick Saban was quite upbeat in the Wednesday press review. Perhaps it had something to do with sharing positive news on the early returns of these important Crimson Tide defenders.
