Thinking there’s a possibility Cunningham or Love actually make it in this class. At least at this rate. But I do like the JuCo options.

I firmly believe that the December signing period is why this class is lagging.

I don't see the connection. Certainly isn't affecting other schools. No excuses, this staff needs to get it done. We have the best program in the country, the best facilities in the country, put more players in the NFL than anyone, and have early playing time to offer, especially on defense. This SHOULD be a top 5 class. If it isn't, our staff didn't earn their paychecks this year. We have time to make this class elite, but to this point it's been a disappointment.

Last year we went 3 for 4 on DL targets. (Missed on Solomon)

Buggs and Ray are already beasts on the field. Mathis has been scout team player of the week just about every week on defense, and is said to be an absolute terror that they have the luxury of redshirting. But he'll play from day one next year.

So quality-wise, we're in a very good spot on the DL going into next year. Quantity-wise is the issue.

We have top 100 (from last year) Jarez Parks coming in at DE.

We have top 100 DT Stephon Wynn (Tomlinson clone) coming in.

4 star DE Jordan Davis coming in.

We'll get two more from the pool of..

Barmore
Brenton Cox
Juco (Tremblay, Nixon, Antuan Jackson)
Cooper (the big NT committed to FSU)
Other names I'm forgetting or will emerge. We talked with Micah Parsons the other day. Not sure where that stands.

We'll be fine here.

With our success with bringing in JUCO guys(except King), we should be fine with the JUCOs

I dunno if it has all that much of an impact. Seems to me a lot of EEs and absolute 100% committed locks may sign early. But some top recruits who know they have spots open can and will delay until closer to NSD. Some will still flip late too.

Parks and Davis may grow into DE's but they are OLB size right now, if I remember correctly. Don't see either helping the DL in 2018. We need to add quality and quantity to the DL this cycle. So far, outside of Wynn-it's been one strike after another. Also, it's not just on the DL that we're striking out. We've been pathetically bad in our RB recruiting, still don't have a QB in this class, still don't have a TE, OL class is okay but not much more. DB's should be crawling to T-town with our ENTIRE secondary gone next year, but that isn't happening. It's almost like our staff has taken this season off of recruiting. It's just really effin strange.

Yea, gotta hope that with Dunbar's coaching ability he can work with these JUCO kids and get the most out of them.

If Dunbar can't recruit his way out of a wet paper bag (which appears to be the case to this point)---I hope Saban replaces him at the end of this season with someone who can. If Saban's tenure has taught is anything, it's that talent wins the day in the end. Gotta have the jimmys and joes before the x's and o's really matter.

Parks is 270. That was LB size for us a few years ago, but not anymore. We've gotten leaner. He'll be a DE from day one now.

Yes, and they finished with he #2 class and a higher star rating average than we did. That's an elite small class, which is what we should be doing this year, but so far are not.

One kid was not worth it and Saban should have just told him to cut the losses and we'll shore up on the next cycle.

All of that pathetic recruiting, and yet we're like #3 in average star rating.

Some of you act like a bunch of emotional women. Completely flipping out and overreacting to every little ebb and flow that happens. How do some of you even manage day to day life? Are you dosing up on estrogen or something?

That's good news if true. I haven't heard anything about Parks recently, where are you hearing this?

That's what I thought. I keep reading that we are being picky and whatever but I think we are just missing out. Theres no reason why we cant. No more complaining. Let's see what happens

Meh, pointing out that this cycle is very unusual for Saban is nothing more than pointing out facts. When's the last time we went into November without a single 5-star committed? When's the last time we lost almost every single recruiting battle in the fall to the likes of TAMU, AU and UGA? I mean Miller, Asa Martin, Brown and on and on it goes. This is VERY atypical of what we usually do at this point in the recruiting cycle. To say otherwise is just ignorance. We still have time to turn things around, but even the most ardent sunshine pumper here has to admit this isn't our normal recruiting pattern this late in a cycle.
