Man Kirby is killing it, i would be shocked if they didnt finish with a top 3 class. And as far as Zamir White goes I wouldnt expect a flip, he would be the power back and now they have another change of pace back. Man I wish we could have kept Cam Akers. He and Najee could have been killer together next year. But good lord UGA is going to be tough in the future

Tim basically said Brown wanted some suspense/drama to be built up around his announcement.
He said Coach Saban has spoke with the kid as recently as yesterday, but nobody knows what was discussed.
The Aggies were not expecting Brown to make a decision prior to visiting. So while they are confident, there is still alot of uncertainty.
Oklahoma is the team that seems to be losing confidence in landing Brown. At this point it seems like a TAMU vs BAMA announcement for today, but its a battle that will likely go to NSD for an true final decision.

If he spoke to Saban then I feel better about it, he must be vastly underrated to be our top DT on the board

BOL has said it may come down to who wants to commit first between Ford and Dominick Wood-Anderson. Other outlets have said DWA is at the top of the board and Ford can't commit until he makes his decision.
As for Barmore, I guess a lot of it depends on if we land Bobby Brown today and how many DTs are we looking to pick up. Personally, I hope we make room for him.

Yeah... it's certainly good times to be a Georgia fan right now. I'll be the first to admit I wasn't 100% sold on Kirby being the best hire at the time... just the nervousness that accompanies hiring a guy with no HC experience... but was always confident in his ability to recruit after seeing/hearing what he did at Bama for so long. I'm also a Jimmies and Joes > X's and O's guy, so figured as long as he wasn't a complete screw up on the coaching side of it, we'd be in good shape... After a tune up year, he's really looking like he's got it going well. Tough to gauge one way or the other in the middle of year 2, but have to like the direction at present at least.
Not sure anyone's taking down Alabama this year, based on what I've seen thus far... going to take a perfect storm of poor play vs. best game most likely... Hopefully Atlanta can deliver at worst a more exciting game than the last few, and at best something more akin to 2012 (with a different ending this time please?
). Feel good about White... he doesn't seem remotely interested in the recruiting game, so glad to see that. Cook has really surprised me this season... I felt like going into this year, he might have been a little over-hyped based on his film, but his senior highlights are studly. Great vision, deceptive speed, and a really good change of direction/jump cut.
What's the current thought for Bama at RB? Slade Bolden looks like a change of pace guy maybe. Probably a little underrated from what I've seen, but not a feature back right? Is Harold Joiner the most likely next best target? Obviously no shortage of stellar backs in Tuscaloosa right now, but can't imagine you guys don't take a top 5-10 RB in this class either.
Still interested in thoughts on Ford/Barmore if anyone has any insight on where they stand for Bama. Last I'd seen, seemed like Juco TE maybe higher on board than Ford and based on recent comments, depending on what happens with Brown, DT may be a bit of a wild card. I like Barmore, but not sure where he even stands on our board relative to guys like Trout and Cooper.

Same goes for Brown... interesting that the staff seems to have made him such a priority. I'm not one to question Saban or the staff's evaluations, but seems maybe a little undersized at least.

With Brown trending to TAMU...the coaching staff just needs to get a commit to get things trending in a positive direction for this class. We've all heard Bama has some silents, time to talk one of them into going public, no? This legit is the most concerning recruiting class heading into November we've had in a long, long time. Just seems none of the battles are going our way this year...and that needs to change, soon.

Brown is trending towards TAMU, some people are right. Others say dont worry, blah blah, but we are way behind this year and I know we have a smaller class but still we shouldnt have a problem landing top tier guys. I dont buy the silent deal at all.

Defensive Tackle recruiting for us lately is just bizarre. I guess these elite DT's know they can pretty much play anywhere and make it to the league, I dunno.

FWIW, that Greg Powers dude says Brown is being recruited as a DE by every team in his Top 5, Alabama included.
