Joshua Moore, 4-star WR, Yoakum (Texas) High School — committed to Nebraska
I spoke with Moore on Sunday night. Alabama has him thinking, but the staff is still trying to figure out if he’d be a better fit at wide receiver or defensive back at Alabama. Moore, who’s committed to Nebraska, told me that he’s strongly considering the Tide after his visit.
“The biggest thing is the opportunities I would have with the amount of wide receivers leaving this year,” Moore told SEC Country. “I have a great chance to come in and have an immediate impact.”
He’s not wrong. Moore is one of the most fluid route runners in the 2018 class, and the majority of the team’s wide receivers for next season will just be sophomores. So, he won’t be too far behind if he ended up flipping. Right now, I don’t see that happening, but I’ll have more on Moore on SEC Country later.

Joshua’s brother is not a take at this time. And for those of you who remain concerned with Alabama recruiting this year, the Crimson Tide are passing up on a 4-star prospect. Alabama is fine.

Finally got Slade’s stats you asked for from local newspaper. According to them: 1,044 yards passing 3 picks. 798 yards rushing. 24 total touchdowns. Through 8 games, but probably closer to 6.25. He’s sat out two complete halves and was out after 1 series in the 2nd quarter this past week. 1,842/24 so far with hopefully 7 more games to play.
Very nice.

After evaluating the high school football talent throughout Louisiana during various camps, 7-on-7 competitions, drills on campus and watching film through the first half of the season, SEC Country is ready to unveil its third installment of prospect rankings for the Class of 2018.
As expected, LSU holds commitments from a bevy of the talent included in the top 30 and is squarely in the mix with those who remain uncommitted at the time of these rankings.
Note: These rankings take into account the spring and summer evaluation periods and were updated following the first two months of Louisiana’s high school football season.
Without further ado, here is our countdown of the top 30 prospects in Louisiana for 2018:

28. Slade Bolden, 3-star ATH (5-foot-11, 195 pounds); Alabama commitment
August rank: 16
September rank: 21
Slade Bolden will transition from quarterback to slot receiver when he arrives at Alabama. During the camp circuit, he impressed with his crisp route-running and sure hands and there’s little doubt that his work ethic won’t allow him to make a smooth shift to his next role on offense. On quarterback draws, you get a sense of what kind of receiver he’ll be in the SEC and the field vision he possesses.
So he's dropped 12 spots in the state rankings since he committed to Alabama.
Even LSU mods are butthurt little bitches.

2. Kelvin Joseph, 4-star DB (6-foot-2, 190 pounds); uncommitted
Kelvin Joseph has cemented his spot as Louisiana’s No. 1 defensive back and No. 1 overall defensive prospect. He plays with a nasty streak at his free safety position for Scotlandville. He thrives in 1-on-1 coverage with his incredible upper-body strength and ability to press at the line of scrimmage. He is also a true center fielder in his ability to disrupt plays with hits after the catch or assisting in the run game. This fall, the 4-star defensive back is flirting with 5-star territory averaging better than 10 stops per game and thriving as a return specialist. Joseph’s game is at an all-time high.
August rank: 2
September rank: 2

1. Terrace Marshall Jr., 5-star WR (6-foot-3, 195 pounds); uncommitted
August rank: 1
September rank: 1
Terrace Marshall, the state’s top prospect, kept his post at No. 1 despite a dislocated ankle and fractured fibula, which will sideline him for upward of two months. Between his elite size, smooth route-running and consistent hands, Marshall has all of the necessary tools to be a prototypical No. 1 receiver at any Power 5 school. LSU believes he has the skills to succeed D.J. Chark, a future first- or second-round pick. Marshall’s game has been taken to new heights in the past 15 months, which shows how incredibly high his ceiling moving forward.

Isaac Taylor-Stuart has two SEC visits planned but if you’ve been following his recruitment closely, the schools could be a little surprising.
“Texas A&M and Alabama are guaranteed,” Taylor-Stuart said. “Everybody else, I'm still deciding.”
Earlier this season, the five-star cornerback from San Diego Helix said he was absolutely planning to visit LSU during his senior campaign and he talked highly of the coaching staff and the defensive back history at the school.
LSU could very well get a trip in the coming months but Taylor-Stuart seems more focused on those two other SEC schools at this point.
The Aggies especially moved up Taylor-Stuart’s after he spent some time at summer events with Texas A&M commits, especially four-star defensive back Leon O’Neal, and getting to College Station seems important.
Alabama has been one of the most consistent schools coming after Taylor-Stuart and he said this season that other than Oregon the Crimson Tide was recruiting him the hardest.
In late September, the five-star cornerback released a top 12 of Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, Georgia, Oregon, Ohio State, Washington, Michigan, Illinois, USC, Texas A&M and Texas.
The Trojans could be the frontrunner in his recruitment and Taylor-Stuart often intends to take an unofficial visit to USC. That coaching staff is also coming hard after him, like many others.
As for a decision, Taylor-Stuart plans to take his visits, take his time and then make his commitment at the earlier in December but probably at an all-star game.

While that's true, the year they beat us they looked flat early too and became unstoppable. But Jones ain't walking through that door so who knows.

Alabama's message is clear to Rivals250 DB
quote:
THE LATEST: Jalen Perry took his third visit to Alabama Saturday and the four-star cornerback out of Dacula (Ga.) and this could be his last trip to Tuscaloosa before he commits.
It was the first his game-day experience and the No. 11-ranked cornerback in the 2019 class had a great time. The Crimson Tide are right in the thick of this race and they made it clear that he is a target of theirs Saturday.
IN HIS OWN WORDS: "The main things that I took away from Saturday’s visit to Alabama is that they are continuing to move in the right direction on the field, and that their coaching staff is making it clear that they want me," said Perry.
"I feel they have made me a priority by communicating with me a lot and spending time with me while I was on the visit. The coaches message to me is that I am a corner that can fit their system well.
"Some things that stood out during the visit was watching how the coaches are involved in preparing the players before the game, and also getting to talk to Coach Saban.
"I spent time with coach [Nick] Saban after the game and we talked about the game and how the defense stepped up in the second half after making some adjustments. We also discussed how my high school season is going and he asked if I enjoyed the game.
"I am still high on Alabama and I feel that they are consistently a top program and I enjoyed witnessing that first hand on this visit."
RIVALS REACTION: This is a hot, tight race for Perry, one of the top juniors in the state of Georgia. He is set to visit Ohio State for the Penn State game Saturday and he is eyeing a couple more games in November, but no visits have been schedule for that month yet. He is a junior who has been focused on the recruiting process for months now and he hopes to make a decision at some time during his junior year. Perry is really doing his homework on his top four schools — Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and South Carolina. At this time, it looks like he will choose from one of those schools. Alabama has been high on his list from the beginning. He loves their style of play, how Saban knows so much about his position and how they continue to win at an unbelievable level.

Joshua Moore, a 6-foot-1, 168-pound wide receiver from Yoakum (Texas) took an official visit to Alabama this past weekend and had a great experience checking out the Crimson Tide program. He just returned from the visit, but checked in quickly to say that he rates the visit a perfect "10" on the 1-10 scale.
Moore committed to Nebraska back on June 18 and already took his official visit to see the Cornhuskers on Oct. 7.
The Bama official visit was Moore's second official visit, but he has already scheduled his third and it will be to see an Atlantic Coast Conference program, and one that many felt could have had been considered a favorite for the four-star's services at one point back in the early spring.
"Florida State on the 4th," confirmed Moore who is set to see the Seminoles take on Syracuse in Tallahassee.
Moore is rated as 247Sports composite Top 100 member, checking in at No. 82 nationally.
Evaluation: Moore is a versatile receiver prospect who excels at the "small-school" level of Texas high school football as a receiver, quarterback, defensive back, and special teams standout. Moore possesses a good frame for the receiver position with the requisite height to gain good bulk as he matures. He shows impressive burst with the ball in his hands, whether in the screen game or as a wildcat quarterback. Moore is a field-stretching vertical threat when lined up wide. He also flashes the ability to win balls over smaller defenders. -- Gabe Brooks

No. He had ONE great season, a couple of good ones. Most of them were typical Rutgers suck. He won about 35% of his conference games in the Big East.
He was abysmal at Tampa Bay.

Time to see if Bama really values him as highly as some say.
Only thing is, Bama is for once kinda loaded at TE as far as taking a JuCo is concerned. Hentges has another year, Forristal coming back, and all 3 young guys.
DWA has to be something else...
