He's moving to Bama, I say Saint should run for Governor.

Clermont (Fla.) East Ridge four-star athlete Justin Watkins had a strong showing in his season opening kick off classic on Friday. His team came away victorious with a 31-8 win over Orlando (Fla.) Evans, and Watkins also recorded three touchdowns in the win. The versatile athlete made his impact at the game at as a wide receiver, running back, safety, and also in the return game as well.
Here are a few clips of the electric 5-foot-11, 172-pounder from the night.
On the recruiting front Watkins says Alabama, Florida, and LSU stand out in his recruitment, with the Tigers and Crimson Tide holding the edge after visits to both last month. After past commitments to LSU, Florida State, and Texas, Watkins plans to take his time the fourth time around and wants to take official visits before arriving to a decision.

With the tight numbers this year and the departure of Emmons, what are the chances Flowers makes his way back to Alabama after that clearinghouse fiasco. Doesn't count against the signing limit IIRC and gives some depth assuming Harris/Bo leave this year.

I honestly don't know if Desherrius Flowers is even alive, let alone playing football. This kid had the quietest recruitment of any player I've ever seen.

Tampa (Fla.) Berkeley Prep offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere is regarded as one of the nation's top offensive line prospects. On Friday, the 6-foot-6, 280-pounder opened his senior season with a preseason game against Clearwater (Fla.) Calvary Christian. You can watch Petit-Frere in action during that contest in the above highlight. Petit-Frere is wide open with his recruitment as Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State and others pursue his commitment.

MIAMI, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale American Heritage five-star cornerback Patrick Surtain Jr. remains in no rush to make a decision.
Surtain Jr. said over the weekend that he could make a commitment at some point this season or wait until National Signing Day. He also said that he's starting to map out his five official visits.
"I haven't set anything yet. I'm still [planning out] some. Hopefully I'll have some set soon."
Surtain Jr. has consistently named Florida State and LSU the two leaders in his recrutiemnt which is why he says those two schools along with Clemson are 'most likely' to get officials for him. As for the others two visits? Those could go to a handful of different programs.
"Florida, Alabama, Ohio State and Miami. They are all in it."
Surtain Jr. was in Coral Gables back in June for a 7-on-7 tournament with his high school. He said that he has more contact with the Hurricanes than most think.
"I still be hitting them up. [Mike Rumph], [Mark Richt] and [Ephraim Banda] have been hitting me up the most. They still be that team."
The U.S. Army All-American also remains in contact with the coaches at LSU and FSU.
"I talk to [Corey Raymond], [Ed Orgeron] and [David Aranda]. Those are the coaches that I hit up the most. It's always great talking with them. Same thing with [Jimbo Fisher] and [Charles Kelly]."
Surtain Jr. (6-2, 181) had a few tackles in a preseason classic win over Booker T. Washington on Friday. He was held out of the second half with an injury, but is expected to be a full-go next week when the Patriots travel to Virginia to face Bishop Sullivan.

KENNESAW, Ga. — Justin Fields, the nation’s top-ranked player according to 247Sports, lived up to that billing in an easy Week 1 win.
The 5-star quarterback from Harrison High School led the Hoyas to a 44-14 win over East Paulding on Friday. Fields accounted for all 6 touchdowns for the Hoyas, running for 3 and throwing for 3.
The final 2 Harrison points came via safety.
Fields is Georgia’s top uncommitted target in its 2018 recruiting class, but the Bulldogs are in the middle of a strong week on the recruiting trail. Kirby Smart landed commitments from 4-star receiver Elijah Moore and 4-star defensive end Azeez Ojulari earlier this week.
On Saturday, 4-star receiver Kearis Jackson will announce his final decision. He’ll choose between Georgia and Alabama.
Jackson will steal the show on Saturday, but Fields had the spotlight on Friday night and again showed why he’s held in such high regard. For the second consecutive year, the state of Georgia is loaded at quarterback, and Fields continues to live up to that lofty recruiting ranking.
Fields de-committed from Penn State in June. He is considering Georgia, Florida State and Auburn, among others.

Man I wish we had a legit chance of landing this kid.

It's always tough to follow a recruiting class that included the state's top overall prospect.
So, while north Alabama's next two recruiting classes don't appear to carry as much wallop as 2017, there's still plenty of talent in the pipeline.
Today we look at 30 of the region's most coveted prospects, regardless of grade.
