How good do we feel about Tyson Campbell? Is he supposed to announce soon, or was Hank just getting ahead of the game?

I don't feel overly confident, but I'm not an "insider."
I did like reading he has practically eliminated Clemson and his teammate (Andrew Chatfield) de-committed from Ohio State yesterday so he won't have someone in his ear about them all season long.

I haven't seen any concrete announcement plans. Hank said he heard good things from people close to Campbell who said he loved his visit to Tuscaloosa last month.
He also intends to return on an OV.

quote:yeah, that's a pretty nice neighborhood though not that convenient to the interstate compared to the newer stuff on the east side. If I recall that neighborhood is nicely wooded, lots of trees and pretty big yards. I tried unsuccessfully in high school to date a girl who lived a couple houses down from there. If you like Cajun food that's a good spot, that Mick's restaurant is just over autauga Creek in the old downtown. There's a pretty good bbq restaurant, fat boys, right down there too. That's a great looking house
I really like this one:

I'd remodel the top floor to get rid of the carpet, but I think this is a good starting point.
ETA: Anyone know what neighborhood this one is in? If so, is it good?

The Alabama river runs right on the southern end of Prattville. I'd you're feeling ambitious, you can take it all the way down to the gulf
It's full of alligators. The world record gator was killed in the river south of Selma.
You wouldn't catch me camping on the banks.

ETA - They found a 115 lb. doe inside it that had been swallowed whole.

Well, that sure does alter things quite a bit
Hell, someone mentioned something about eating lunch on rocks in the river. We're trying to get Saint killed.

I like that it is almost completely remodeled and has a lot of space.
I really do want to try that Mick's place. It sounds good.

It's my favorite restaurant in the tri-county area.

First visit to Alabama a 'great' one for RB Mecose Todd
quote:
THE LATEST: The end of his freshman year was a time Mecose Todd will likely remember for life. He exploded with scholarship offers from schools like Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.
The 6-foot, 195 pound sophomore out of Villa Rica (Ga.) grew up a big fan of the Auburn Tigers. He has tracked their success with running backs since he was very young, but he did not spend time on the Plains over the summer. Instead, he took a trip to Tuscaloosa (Ala.) for the first time.
He was only there for a day, but Alabama made a strong first impression.
IN HIS OWN WORDS: "It was my first time to visit Alabama and it was great," said Todd. "It is Alabama and you cannot get much better than that. When you go there, I think guys expect the best and that is what they have. They have everything you want as a recruit."
CAMP THOUGHTS: "They showed me a lot with their coaching, so I gave it all I had at the camp. I loved it there. I was just there one day, but they were impressive. The coaches want the best for you, so they work you hard. I worked hard for them, I showed them what I could do and I tried to learn from the coaches."
ATTENTION TO DETAIL: "They are so organized. The way they have everything set up and how it is all so detailed and structured is what stands out a lot. I had not seen a camp like that where everything was so organized. You know they everything in place because it was perfect."
INTEREST IN TIDE: "I like them a lot. I do not have favorites right now, but Alabama is a school I like. I want to get back over there for a game this season. They really have a lot of stuff to like."
RIVALS REACTION: Auburn was his "dream" school growing up and he has an offer from Auburn. Georgia running back coach Dell McGee has made a big impact early. But it is very early and Alabama is very much in this race after the visit this summer. Look for him to add more offers and take in many games this fall.

I'd be shocked if you were to find a gator that far up the Coosa River. People are almost constantly on that stretch. You're much more likely to run into a gator on Autauga Creek than on the Coosa River.

CLASS OF 2019 PRO-STYLE QB RANKINGS
HEADLINER: JT Daniels, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei
PLAYER TO WATCH: Hayden Wolff, Englewood (Fla.) Lemon Bay
COMMENTS: The No. 1 overall prospect in the 2019 class is a pro-style quarterback for the second straight year. USC commit Daniels has a sizable lead for the top spot in this position ranking, with Washington commit Dylan Morris and Texas A&M commit Grant Gunnell among the second tier at this position, rated in the 5.9 range.

CLASS OF 2019 DUAL-THREAT QB RANKINGS
HEADLINER: Spencer Rattler, Phoenix (Ariz.) Pinnacle
PLAYER TO WATCH: Ta’Quan Roberson, Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic
COMMENTS: The gap between first and second at dual-threat is not as wide as it is at pro-style. Rattler, an Oklahoma commit, narrowly edged out a trio of other 5.9 Rivals Rated prospects including Michael Johnson Jr., son of Oregon Ducks wide receivers coach Michael Johnson. Another recognizable name on this list is No. 9 Taulia Tagovailoa, younger brother of Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

CLASS OF 2019 ALL-PURPOSE BACK RANKINGS
HEADLINER: Nayquan Wright, Miami Gardens (Fla.) Carol City
PLAYER TO WATCH: Andrew Henry, Dallas Episcopal School
COMMENTS: This is a small group of just five prospects that spans the range from a top-40 player in Wright all the way down to Columbia (Mo.) Rock Bridge’s Nathaniel Peat, who starts at a 5.6 Rivals Rating. Whether the all-purpose back is less prominent in the game or if 2019 is just a year when those types of ball carriers are late bloomers remains to be seen.

CLASS OF 2019 RUNNING BACK RANKINGS
HEADLINER: Devyn Ford, North Stafford, Va.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Jirehl Brock, Quincy (Ill.) Senior
COMMENTS: There are no five-stars in this position group to start, but four players are knocking on the door including Ford, who ranks in the top 10 of the Rivals100. Two sets of teammates register in this ranking, IMG Academy’s Trey Sanders and Noah Cain and Detroit Cass Tech’s Jaren Mangham and Lew Nichols, which is a rare occurrence for the running back position.

CLASS OF 2019 WIDE RECEIVER RANKINGS
HEADLINER: Jadon Haselwood, Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove
PLAYER TO WATCH: Colby Bowman, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco
COMMENTS: The depth at wide receiver has been growing in recent years, and that will continue in the 2019 class. Wide receiver accounts for the most five-stars (three), the most four-stars (37) and the most prospects in an initial position ranking (55). The three five-stars are Haselwood, a Georgia commit, Texas native Theo Wease and Oregon commit Arjei Henderson.

CLASS OF 2019 TIGHT END RANKINGS
HEADLINER: Hudson Henry, Little Rock (Ark.) Pulaski Academy
PLAYER TO WATCH: Ryland Goede, Kennesaw (Ga.) Mountain
COMMENTS: The trend of recognizable names in this 2019 class continues. Hudson Henry is the younger brother of former University of Arkansas All-American and current San Diego Charger Hunter Henry. He leads a trio of Rivals100 prospects to start this ranking that includes Florida native Keon Zipperer and Oklahoma commit Austin Stogner.

CLASS OF 2019 OFFENSIVE TACKLE RANKINGS
HEADLINER: Darnell Wright, Huntington, W.Va.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Chris Akporoghene, Seymour (Tenn.) Kings Academy
COMMENTS: If you look just at the top of the tackle rankings, it looks as if the position may take a dip in talent this cycle. There isn't a single five-star player at the position early on and only three check in with 6.0 ratings. There are a host of tackles rated 5.9, however, so maybe the position just needs time to mature and we could be looking at a very solid group in another year.
