Hank said he's close to putting CB's for these players:

Emory Jones
Jaylen Waddle
Kelvin and/or Nadab Joseph -- not sure which one I feel best about right now
Emil Ekiyor
Josh Jobe
Teair-Tart Spencer

Interesting Recruiting Note from Bol:
quote:

August this year is dead. No visits at all. Haven't seen this discussed but found it an odd rule. Not sure what the NCAA is trying to shut down but hurts the kids who wanted to take unofficial visits and see the teams in action before their own season starts. Which makes it much harder considering they practice all week, play Friday and then are back at in on Sunday. Could be as simple as giving the coaches and kids time off but still doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

We got a CB for 2-star TE Michael Parker from Keith Niebuhr.

He has two older brothers who have walked on to Alabama, but I haven't seen anything about us extending an offer.

I know Auburn has though.

His name is Kavosiey Smoke. But if the Wetumpka running back and SEC target enjoys the type of senior season - and runs - he expects to this fall, you'll also recognize one of his nicknames: Baby Fournette.

Sure, Smoke (5-10, 215 pounds) has much to learn, a lot more to accomplish to draw closer comparisons to Leonard Fournette, the former LSU running back who this summer enters training camp with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Fournette was the fourth overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.

But before you can achieve, you gotta believe, right? So guess Smoke's Twitter handle?

Answer: BabyFournette7.

Smoke is on the path to earn more recognition as one of the state of Alabama's top running backs. He is expected to enter the 2017 season as the featured back in Wetumpka's offense.

He ranked No. 28 on the 247Sports composite rankings of the Class of 2018.

Last month, Smoke released his Top 10 recruiting list - it included four SEC schools: South Carolina, Florida, Mississippi State and Kentucky. Rounding out the list (in no order) was North Carolina, Illinois, Central Florida, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech and Florida Atlantic.

Last season, Smoke was his team's second-leading rusher, finishing with 719 yards on 120 carries. He averaged 5.9 yards per rush. Smoke also scored nine touchdowns.

Speaking of Michael Parker, here is his information just in case we do offer:

Michael Parker Highlights

I haven't watched his film yet, but he has nice size at 6'6" 230 pounds.

KN seems to think he might be close to getting one from Bama after a strong camp FWIW

Also sounds like Asa Martin stayed 2 nights in AU this past weekend. Most AU guys still seem to think we are chasing on Martin tho

I guess we will see how far the "bama bump" goes when he does get an offer.

Bone has been saying for a couple days that Michael Parker killed it at camp and expects that Bama will extend a committable offer very soon. Should get a pretty good bump by signing day if that happens...

What's funny is some guys on our board were melting over us offering and at the time thinking we might get him. Now I am sure they will be pissed we didn't get him

Bama or not, I always like to see when kids go to camp at school of their dreams, show out and get a chance to commit. Happened with Marsh for AU & sounds like could happen for Parker. That's one of the fun parts of recruiting

Alabama head coach Nick Saban talked about a variety of topics Wednesday in an interview on SportsCenter during his annual day-long journey to Bristol, Conn., for ESPN’s Car Wash.

Whether it was how last season ended, a McDonald’s analogy or his unique diet habits, Saban discussed a little bit of everything. But the 11th-year coach gave an interesting answer to the final question, concerning the universal phrase, “Roll Tide.”

Saban was asked how often he greets people with “Roll Tide” instead of a normal hello.

“A lot of people greet me with ‘Roll Tide.’ I acknowledge that as much as possible,” Saban said. “It’s not possible to always acknowledge that. And that’s not a disrespect, because we have a very recognizable brand, and ‘Roll Tide’ is a big part of it.

“I never say that to anyone first. It’s my response to them.”

While he’s said the Crimson Tide’s rallying cry countless times over the course of this career in Tuscaloosa, his answer is another testament to Saban’s analysis both on and off the field.

More on Michael Parker and our TE recruiting situation.

quote:

I think Bama will explain to Parker how much they like him, and they will probably offer him at some point.

Alabama will probably wait to see what happens with Dominick Anderson on August 1. I think Bama is the favorite.

I don't think Luke Ford will go to Bama if Anderson does.

I expect Bama will extend offer/take Michael Parker at some point. Alabama considers him a top 10-12 in-state player after watching him in camp.

Dominick Anderson has been Alabama's No.1 TE target since Day 1.

Sounds like our 2019 OG commit, Devayie Hammond, may be transferring down to IMG Academy.

If he does that would give us two '19 kids on their roster already.
