Might have something to do with whether or not we get Wood-Anderson. We apparently are in love with Wood-Anderson.

DWA loves whoever he visited last.

And he's visiting us last. So that's a good sign if he truly is #1 on our staff's board. It might come down to where Kedrick James sticks (TE or DE) as to whether we take one or two TEs (if we could get both DWA and Ford).

Hopefully Bama can land Ford, he is going to be a heck of a player.

K James at DE, first I have heard that.

We got a CB for Luke Ford from an Ole Miss mod.

Adam Anderson de-commits from LSU
Adam Anderson’s decision Thursday night came as no surprise.
Rated the Class of 2018’s No. 1 outside linebacker by the 247Sports composite, the Rome (Ga.) High School star de-committed from LSU. It was only a matter of time before he decided to choose this route after his Rome teammate Jamarcus Chatman de-committed from the Tigers and committed to Tennessee last month. The Volunteers will also be in the mix for Anderson.
Staying closer to home is important to Anderson, and Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee offer him the best opportunities to do so. Alabama is 180 miles from Rome High School; Georgia is 133 miles and Tennessee is 166 miles. Staying close to home is important to Anderson because of all the adversity he has faced in his life.
Both his older sister and stepfather died little more than a year ago, leaving his mother to raise Adam and his younger brother, who is deaf, on her own. What’s remarkable about Anderson is he still finds a way to carry on. His Rome High coaches estimate that Anderson walked around six miles at 6 a.m. to get to church on Easter. He didn’t have a ride.
“I wanted to be there in church on Sundays,” Anderson said in a story with our own Jeff Sentell. “I’ve got a good relationship with God that I hope to keep working on getting better. He’s blessed me with a lot and I want to make sure I know I’m so very thankful for what he’s done for my life.”
That’s the kind of guy Anderson is.
Alabama has been actively recruiting Anderson, one of its top outside linebacker targets. But Georgia is seen as the clear favorite for Anderson. He was once committed to the Bulldogs and it’s the school he has visited the most. He’s comfortable there. The Crimson Tide will need to get him on campus to have a shot.

JJ Peterson still has Alabama on top
JJ Peterson spent last week at Nike headquarters in Beaverton, Ore., for The Opening Finals. Seeing the Pacific Northwest for the first time reshuffled Peterson’s top schools list.
Peterson, the nation’s No. 2 outside linebacker from Colquitt County High School (Moultrie, Ga.), told SEC Country that Oregon is now No. 2 on his list behind Alabama. Auburn has now dropped to No. 3 followed by Georgia and Michigan, respectively.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound prospect has an important visit to Oregon set for July 29.
“I like it here, man. I can’t lie,” Peterson said.
It’s very possible we get a final decision on what Peterson is going to do right after that trip. I personally don’t see Peterson winding up with the Ducks because he has a baby daughter, Alexandra, who he deeply loves and cares for. I do not see him moving to the other side of the country.
The Crimson Tide have led for several months, but he still doesn’t know what they have to do in order to lock in his commitment.
“I don’t know,” Peterson said. “I’m not the person who is going to run from battle when a spot is on the line. Alabama is great. My coach would like for me to go there, and I love him like a father.”
His coach is Rush Propst. Alabama defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt was Propst’s defensive coordinator while he was at Hoover (Ala.) High School. Those two remain good friends to this day. Propst is also close with Auburn offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey, as he also served under Propst.
Either way, Alabama is the clear favorite to land Peterson when he makes his commitment. It would be a big surprise if he ended up anywhere other than Tuscaloosa. He’s got that Crimson Tide mindset to him.
“I’m not going to say I’m the best,” Peterson said. “I don’t like saying I’m the best at anything I can do. That’s just me. I can’t say I’m the best here because I know I have so much work to do.”

OT Daniel Faalele
The three-star offensive tackle is yet to play a football game in pads, but he had more good moments than anyone could imagine in going against the best players in the nation. He used his length well and had good foot speed, and he fired off the ball well in run-blocking drills. He is looking at Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Tennessee and UCLA.

After three days of best-on-best competition at The Opening Finals 2017, Scout analysts from coast to coast convened on the following prospects who impressed most.
It's important to understand, this list is based solely on how the players performed during the event, not their recruiting potential. These are the players who we felt were the most dominant over the course of the week.

Anyone have anything interesting going on for a slow recruiting day?

Some notes in here ya'll might find interesting. Auburn's most important targets (247)
quote:
10. Matthew Hill, WR
Hill is a top target and a top-100 type of recruit. A speedy receiver, he could have a decision in July. At this time, most think Auburn is the team to beat. With Auburn in a battle with Clemson and Alabama for 5-star receiver Justyn Ross, it's crucial to land Hill since Ross potentially could land somewhere else.
quote:
8. Asa Martin, RB
Auburn needs another running back in the class and Martin appears to be the top target. He's down to Auburn, Alabama and Florida ... but will visit Clemson soon. If Clemson offers, that could add a new dimension to his recruitment. Martin is supposed to announce a commitment Aug. 24. As much as Auburn likes him, his spot might not be around forever -- especially with former Tide commit Dameon Pierce sitting out there.
quote:
4. Richard Jibunor, DE/Buck
The Tigers would love to add an elite edge rusher to the class and our intel suggests they believe Jibunor can be that guy. It's an Auburn-Tennessee battle, but the staff's relationship with Jibunor potentially could be the difference for the Tigers. He's likely to announce this summer. Probably in August but possibly sooner.
quote:
3. Justyn Ross, WR
Ross is a potential franchise receiver. He's 6-feet-4, 197 pounds and one of the most athletic recruits in the country. And he's still fairly raw, meaning he hasn't come close to reaching his ceiling. Auburn and Clemson seem to be in front, but you can't count out Alabama by any stretch. If National Signing Day were today, Clemson probably land him. But he isn't likely to announce until later in the cycle so Auburn has a chance to impress him this fall.
quote:
2. Coynis Miller, DT
Defensive tackle is a big position of need and Miller is the top target. With games won or lost in the trenches, he's an extremely important recruit to the Tigers, who must beat out Alabama for his commitment. He's likely to announce a commitment in August. The Tigers might have a slight edge at the moment.

The first half of the season, I'm going to be wondering who the hell Terrell Lewis is. By the end of the season maybe I'll get it

Keep an eye on OT Kwatrivious Johnson from Greenwood, MS. Someone who would know posted that he's rocketed up our OL board and may be at the very top now. He's definitely one to keep an eye on.

Isn't he committed to Mississippi State?
