BEAVERTON, Ore. — Sunday’s action at The Opening Finals featured the OL/DL challenge, hours of Nike 7on7 pool play and the first round of the Nike 7on7 Championship Tournament at night. This year, we’re breaking down our prospect reports by region instead of 7on7 team. Here’s who caught our eye today from Florida.

Alpha Dog

There wasn't a prospect that made more plays on Sunday than Nebraska cornerback commit Brendan Radley-Hiles. The Bradenton IMG Academy standout had five pass break ups and three interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown. He might not be the tallest defensive back out in Oregon, but he has a knack for being in the right place at the right time which is something that you can't exactly teach. It wouldn't be a surprise to see the U.S. Army All-American make an impact early at the next level.

Next 5 Standouts

CB Patrick Surtain Jr. – The Fort Lauderdale American Heritage cornerback simply lived up to his five-star billing. He totaled three pass breakups on the day and also managed to come down with an interception when Kentucky quarterback commit Jarren Williams tried to test him deep. He could start in the secondary for some colleges right now.

DB Josh Jobe – The Miami Columbus safety, who will play the upcoming season at Cheshire Academy in Connecticut, was active all day in the secondary for Pro Savage. He picked off a pass in the opening round of the tournament and also leveled a wide receiver that tried to get by him on a skinny post. The Miami verbal commit is another prospect that already looks like he has been in a college weight room.

OL William Barnes – The Apopka Top100 offensive tackle was good for the second straight day. He was able to find a fit at the point of attack and then drive defensive linemen to the side with relative ease. The best reps for him came against five-star defensive end Xavier Thomas and Top100 defensive tackle Jayson Ademilola.

CB Sevyn Banks – The Orlando Jones cornerback's day might have got off to a bit of a slow start, but he finished it on a high note picking off five-star quarterback Matt Corral twice and returning one for a score. The Ohio State commit look fully recovered from his ACL injury as he was able to run with almost every wide receiver that came his way.

CB Asante Samuel Jr. – The Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas standout is another undersized defensive back that just finds ways to make plays. The Florida State commit was excellent in coverage and more importantly physical. The play of the day for him came on a two-point conversion where he trucked a wide receiver on a quick slant to break up a pass.

Emptying the Notebook

– North Broward Prep four-star wide receiver Kevin Austin impressed at different times throughout the day. He used his college-ready body to box out much smaller defensive backs and ended up finishing pool play with 14 catches and a touchdown to his credit. IMG Academy's Brian Hightower was another jumbo-sized wideout that was constantly open. He had six catches and a touchdown.

– IMG Academy 2019 defensive end Nolan Smith is known for his speed, but he showed plenty of power during 1-on-1s. The Georgia commit used a low pad level to beat Top100 offensive tackle Rasheed Walker and was simply more explosive than Top247 offensive tackle Will Craig. Ohio State defensive tackle commit Taron Vincent was another IMG Acadmey import that held his own in the Savage Pit.

– Some schools are telling Florida State running back commit James Cook that he can be the next Reggie Bush, but the Miami Central product struggled with drops. That wasn't the case however with Miami commits Lorenzo Lingard and Cam'Ron Davis. The two running backs caught a number of balls out of the backfield and turned into weapons for Pro Savage.

– Fort Lauderdale American Heritage wide receiver Anthony Schwartz looked like more than a track star for one of the first times this offseason. The Under Armour All-American flew past defensive backs and scored twice. Miami Southridge Top100 wide receiver Mark Pope had two touchdowns catches, as well.
