The West region will be well represented at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge presented by adidas in Indianapolis. Here are five top prospects that have a lot to prove once they touch down in the Midwest.

CB Isaac Taylor-Stuart

If you’re looking for the prototypical NFL cornerback, look no further than Taylor-Stuart, who is 6-foot-2, long, athletic and can run with almost any receiver in the country. He has been a lockdown corner for almost all of the offseason except for one 7-on-7 game where he struggled. Can he be physical and dominate against elite receivers in one-on-ones and show that competitive drive to be one of the top corners in the class? Taylor-Stuart has all the physical makings and ability of a five-star prospect, and his showing in Indianapolis could go a long way in making that happen. His recruitment remains wide open, but USC, Alabama and others are in the mix.

ATLANTA — Former NFL quarterback Mike Vick brought his V7 Elite Playmakers Showcase series to his old stomping grounds Sunday, where several top prospects turned out for the event. Here are the 12 performers that caught our attention at the event.

Safety Trey Dean

Recruiting Wrap: Alabama, Texas, South Carolina and Georgia are among the schools in the mix for Dean.

Performance: Dean is a safety at the next level but he showed that he has the coverage skills to go man-to-man when needed. He's physical at the line of scrimmage but is also fluid enough to turn and cover downfield against most receivers he faces.

Others who caught our eye

Among the other participants who caught our eye was 2020 offensive lineman Brady Ward. The 6-foot-6, 295-pound prospect is rare, but has the type of frame that college coaches love to work with... On the defensive line, 2019 defensive end Bryce Nelms was far and away the most impressive pass rusher... Much like Gainwell, class of 2018 wide receiver Mykel Tubbs was very impressive getting open and consistently making catches. He too is waiting on his first offer... Class of 2019 Alabama defensive back Trikweze Bridges looks the part of a future national-level recruit. He already holds offers from Alabama, Florida and Kentucky, and it wouldn't be surprising to see the rest of the SEC join in the coming months... Class of 2019 Georgia wide receiver Rekevian Mathis was very impressive and nearly impossible for defensive backs to cover. He's small but electric with the ball in his hands... One of the most impressive young players in attendance was class of 2020 defensive back Kevon Angry. Despite being just a rising sophomore he went toe-to-toe with several of the camp's best wide receivers and did a nice job of winning his share of the battles... Class of 2019 Buford, Ga. quarterback Clayton Nelson was one of the day's best, showing excellent arm strength throughout the event.

Thanks. It's become a habit and I have a specific order in which I browse so unless I get called away to a meeting I can get these updates done fairly quickly.

I had a dream that we lost to FSU and then struggled with Fresno St. I woke up in a cold sweat.

The season can't get here soon enough.

Figured this didn't need it's own topic on here as it's not exactly Bama sports related.

I'm driving home to Houston Texas with my 60 lbs pitbull/lab mix and Birmingham is right on my way, so figured I would stop there for lunch (spending night 1 in Knoxville). Anyone have a good place I should go that is obviously dog friendly? BBQ would be the best as I live in D.C. and only get the good stuff when i get back to TX usually

Dreamland in Bham is well thought of. I prefer Saw's. Wings there are incredible.

If you want really good food I'd go to Perry's. You'll spend a chunk, but won't regret it.

Assume these have patios/dog friendly? I also would think it be in the high 50s low 60s if I'm eating with my dog in December there? Maybe i'm being too optimistic

List of dog friendly restaurants in Birmingham
I hope this helps ya out.

If you're coming in December, then the weather is tricky. Some days it will hit 60 and the next day the high will be in the low to mid 30s

I'd take your dream over mine from last night in a heartbeat.

I had snakes chasing my arse all over my house.

Avondale's brewing Company is a good place, so I've been told. I've never heard anyone say anything negative about it.
