She has been the best dog I've ever owned. Smart as hell and extremely patient with kids. She's never snapped at another human being and will do whatever I say.

Old girl doesn't have many years left.

Her face used to be mostly brown. Now it's gray along with her ears.

That's the sad damn thing about dogs.

A bird can live 40 years and we're lucky if we get 10 with man's best friend.

Lizards and damn snakes live a long time too. Dogs really get shafted.

If I can find a breeder in the States that I trust, then my next dog will be a Caucasian Ovcharka.

YouTube video
This might be a little loud, but it's a pretty good Ovcharka video. Those dogs are nuts

So I'm drunk. And a story to tell. My brother and I are avid hikers. We have done several mountains in North America. We are saving for the ultimate test. These Alabama boys are gearing for the Himalayas in 2019.

Marietta (Ga.) defensive end Azeez Ojulari has seen his stock rise after running a 4.70-second forty at 6-foot-4, 225-pounds earlier this spring. The Peach State standout will visit a trio of SEC schools in June.

On June 4, Ojulari will visit Alabama. The following weekend, on Jun 17, he will visit Tennessee. The final planned trip for Ojulari that month is to Florida on June 23.

I went to school in Mississippi where the schools are shitty, but wouldn't that be two weeks later?

Speaking of dogs I breed English Spaniels which are wonderful dogs. I have a litter now about 4 wks old and last night my boy was feeding them. He came inside screaming that a snake was in the pen with them. I ran outside to find a 3ft long water moccasin in the pen with them. Thankfully none of them got bit. Pippa the adult female had gotten between them and the snake until I got the gate opened and they bailed out.

Welcome to SEC Country’s daily Roll Tide-ings, a rundown of everything happening in Alabama Crimson Tide recruiting with Chris Kirschner. In this edition, we discuss the latest with the 10 best players in the state of Alabama.

Alabama is or was in the mix for the majority of the state’s 10 best recruits, according to the 247Sports composite, in the Class of 2018. As always, the Crimson Tide will land several elite prospects from the Yellowhammer State.

Below, we take our best guess at who Alabama will land when it comes time for these recruits to sign.

Justyn Ross, 4-star wide receiver, Phenix City (Central)

Ross is the crown jewel in the state this year. Ross is wanted from nearly every major college football program, and Alabama is one of those schools. The Crimson Tide have recruited him strongly since 2015. In my opinion, Alabama, Auburn and Clemson are the three teams in the mix to land his signature.

His mother, Charay Franklin, is back home from serving our country, which is important because Ross has told SEC Country that she will have a big say in the school he picks. He also wants to take her on several visits this summer. She hasn’t gone on any recruiting trips yet, but it should be noted that she is an Alabama fan. I don’t think that will matter, though. The Tide also signed his good friend and former teammate Markail Benton in the Class of 2017.

Alabama will push for Ross until he signs. If the Crimson Tide’s passing game improves (it showed promise during A-Day), I think the Tide land the nation’s No. 5 wide receiver.

Prediction: Alabama

Confidence level: Medium

Jack West, 4-star quarterback, Saraland (Saraland)

Prediction: Stanford

West grew up an Alabama fan but committed to Stanford last July mainly because of the school’s academic prestige. This is a kid who has aspirations to be president one day, so it’s understandable why he put aside his Crimson Tide fandom.

Don’t expect West to flip. He’s locked in with the Cardinal.

Confidence level: High
