So is this MoJo cat a back-up to Brown and Langham? No way we take 3 more DL this cycle.
Probably so. Fisher is still working hard on Brown, and the Barn is making a late run at Langham. So far, everything I'm seeing says they're both coming to Bama, but Saban is always keen on backup plans, aka alternatives. Attn: B.B. & A.L. If you shop, we'll shop.

Personally I like Mojo more than Brown.

Mojo is a monster. It pisses me off that it took so long for him to get an offer.

The question is who do we not feel good about if we are going after mojo?

Brown makes the most sense.

It's showing that Mojo has taken 4 visits

He has one scheduled to Oregon this weekend.
I wonder if we can change his plans?

AU boards are pretty confident they land Langham.

Who is MoJo? Can we start some new rule about using at least their real last name, especially if they're a new recruit? Not all of us spend 13 hours a day studying recruiting and memorizing initials.
Two things you can count on from a handful of Bammers.
1)The use of extremely common last names like Smith, Johnson, Williams, etc... without using the first name (when we're generally recruiting others with the same last name), leaving others to wonder who the heck they're talking about.
2)About 50 percent of the people in here being "shocked" by Saban making a bunch of late offers when he has literally done that EVERY SINGLE YEAR EVER at multiple positions. But yet, it always means we "must be losing out" on everybody.
And it's the same people who have followed recruiting for years now. You wonder if these people have absolutely no long-term memory or what the deal is.

I suppose anything is possible, but that one would be pretty high on the "shocker" list. Pretty sure our staff would be beyond shocked if that happened. He's probably the most solid guys that isn't a public commitment that we have.

I'm sure you're right, and I don't follow recruiting as closely as some...but it does seem like there are more late offers going out this year, no? I mean like every day just about we hear about a new offer. MoJo, O'neal, Irvin, White, Griffin, Purdy, some other LB can't even remember his name, etc. I mean it seems like an abnormal amount, doesn't it?

Kirschner says Eddie Smith is not a backup plan. He's a definite take, and ranked ahead of a few of the four/five stars on Bama board.

Based only on the fact that he grew up a fan. We will see how that plays out.

Payne was an Auburn fan growing up too. That worked out great for us
