As far as Griffin I doubt he leaving the west coast. No different than Snoop Dogg and his son. Hope I'm wrong tho.

They always put a disclaimer on any comment by saying its either a fluid situation or we lead for now. They have never said we get him 100%. Hopefully Surtains dad likes the way Saban coaches.

If your objective over the last couple months has been to NOT be a sunshine pumper, you have been wildly successful. My goodness, man. What's gotten into you these last few months? You're more negative at recruiting than I am during an actual game (which is saying a lot).
I'm not sure what's going on. I think it started when he predicted Ole Miss to give us all we wanted. He said they would score 40+ and wasn't sure if we could put up more points.

I've always wanted to make my family motto "The rhythm is the bass, and the bass is the treble"

I've seen someone say they question Griffin's love of the game because of his upbringing.
It's ironic that you bring up Snoop's kid because he quit UCLA's football program, twice, without ever playing a down.

Yea I think its a little different with them. Snoops kids got kind of famous due to a television show he had. Nobody knew this was Warren Gs son.

Both Snoop and Diddy's (I realize Diddy is a 100% East Coast guy) sons flamed out at UCLA. I think the structure and the more rural setting of Tuscaloosa may have a bit of an appeal. I mean when Warren G is pops and Dre and Snoop are UNCLES, structure and the built in buffer that is Alabama football could be just what the Doctor ordered. I mean we are talking about Saban here...

It was a big story when he originally committed to UCLA. I think we just didnt know because he only came onto our radar after he declared Tennessee his leader.

Wow I never knew he named Tenn his leader. Hope you guys are right and he likes the structure. With his dad being from the hood he should love it. Kind of funny the other day I watched an interview about a guy robbing his dad for his Death Row chain...

He didn't. Think the poster is thinking about Eddie Smith.

Actually Griffin did say UT had a big lead after decommiting from UCLA.
Olaijah Griffin decommits from UCLA... Tennessee leader
Here is the latest from the Tennessee side. They think its between them and USC...

Wow. My mistake. Sorry for wrongly correcting you.
Well, hopefully that's a good sign that he isn't locked into the West Coast.

There’s a new leader in the clubhouse for 2018 defensive back Olaijah Griffin. Griffin apparently recently told recruiting insider and ScoopDuck.com publisher Justin Hopkins — who previously worked with 247Sports and ESPN — that Tennessee is his current leader.
“Tennessee is recruiting me the hardest,” Griffin reportedly said. “They are at the top of my list right now. I have family over there, that’s where we’re originally from. I really like coach (Jeremy) Pruitt and what he is doing over there. I loved my official visit.”
This was from back on December 30th. I realized an eternity ago in recruiting, but this is what introduced him to the SEC recruiting analysts, IMO.

Per the Dec 30th article: Griffin had UT as his leader.
Per 2nd article: After Griffin visited USC, Crystal Balls favor USC (no mention of Bama recruiting Griffin), and UT & UA are vying for Eddie Smith.

Whenever I predict doom and gloom, good things tend to happen for Bama.

Griffin is scheduled to visit this week. I only mentioned him because the article that was breaking down DB targets included Irvin and Smith but left Griffin out. According to BOL he is a take if he wants to commit.
Saban is supposed to be out west visting Irvin and Griffin next week. He is a target unless he doesnt show up this weekend.
